I traveled through Central America in my late 20's, surfing and having a good time with friends. We came to El Zonte and I bought land here because I knew it was where I wanted to come back to over and over with my family and friends, and where I would eventually want to retire and enjoy life. With help from friends and locals, over the years I have built what you see at Lote 44 today.

Welcome to Lote 44! We are a 6 room Guesthouse located in beautiful El Zonte, El Salvador. An amazing property with 6 unique rooms that cater to everyone from solo surfers passing through for two nights to families who want to stay for multiple months. Our pool and garden are the jewels of the property. We are unique because we are not a hostel and we are not a fancy hotel. There are no properties in El Zonte that offer what we do for the range of rates we charge. From a budget Small Room to a fancy Penthouse, we have rooms with and without AC, with private baths and with shared baths, with kitchens or with shared kitchen. Our property is very well managed, very clean, and very private and quiet. In 3 minutes you can be at the beach surfing one of the best waves along this amazing stretch of coastline.

The beach is why most people come to El Zonte and the beach here is incredible. If you are a surfer, you will have multiple wave options (point break and beach break). And if surfing is not your thing, the laid back vibe of the beach, the restaurants and the community will be the perfect backdrop for your vacation in El Zonte. There are many day trips and sights to see nearby. Tours are available to join or if you have a car, it is easy to get to lots of places nearby from volcanoes to waterfalls to crater lakes to the city to cultural sights and beautiful towns or hikes in the countryside.
