As a Host and Villa owner, David Smart brings a wealth of experience and commitment to ensuring exceptional stays for our valued guests. Relocating to Koh Samui from Cirencester, UK, in 2005, David's love affair with Thailand began in 1990, with Koh Samui emerging as his favoured destination. Motivated by the prospect of a new business venture, he made the bold decision to establish a thriving rental enterprise on the island. With a background in Cirencester's flooring business, coupled with extensive involvement in property development and rental, David's passion for creating diverse properties flourished in the UK. Seeking a fresh challenge, the allure of Koh Samui became irresistible. Since his move, David has successfully crafted 15 properties, including 11 luxurious villas available for rental. Ranging from 1 to 4 bedrooms, each villa boasts its own private swimming pool, with four offering breathtaking ocean views, all designed in unique and tropical styles. Notably, our flagship Villa Moonstone, a source of great pride, reached completion in January 2020. Navigating the complexities of villa development in a culturally diverse environment has presented intriguing challenges for David, but the rewards have surpassed expectations. The process has allowed him to push the boundaries of creativity and inspiration, resulting in a portfolio of remarkable properties. At Peacefulvillas, David is fuelled by a strong sense of motivation and dedication, engaging with visitors from around the globe who choose to stay and often return to our exclusive villas. In the past 20 years on the island, he has only returned to Europe twice, briefly visiting Milan and Madrid for the love of football and to support his beloved Spurs in the Champions League.

Villa Amber is an elegant 1 Bedroom Villa, designed all on one level, located in a wonderful tropical environment, on the beautiful island of Koh Samui. The villa is totally private and not overlooked. It is ideal for couples, providing a romantic and idyllic getaway. Villa Amber is one of three exquisite, separate properties, which are set in a lovely small and quiet cul-de-sac, only 650 metres away from the ocean, and located in the beautiful south of the island. Villa Amber offers the opportunity for couples to enjoy a beautiful and romantic, private Villa. It is located within the charming area of Laem Set in a quieter and also less touristy part of the island. This very private, high quality villa provides an open plan exotic Living area, fitted new Kitchen, an additional indoor Living and Dining area with air conditioning, en-suite spacious Bedroom, Bathroom with bath tub and also walk in-shower, private large salt water swimming pool, tropical garden and Lotus pond. Villa Amber is located in a peaceful location, ideal for couples, who want to experience local Thai culture, with many places to explore. We can arrange the rental of a car or mopeds for you to drive around this exotic tropical area to quiet local beaches, authentic local Thai restaurants, Rum Distillery, Laem Sor Pagoda, the waterfalls and the fishing village of Thong Krut, with its wonderful atmosphere of lazy, sunny hot days. A 3 min walk and up to 800 mtrs from the Villa are 4 lovely different restaurants, which you can walk or drive to, all serving excellent food. There are 7-Eleven, 24 hr local store for your basic shopping, together with ATMs, located everywhere on the island. Couple of Thai local stores less than 5 min walk from the Villa. Seaside town of Lamai, second largest on the island, and superior (in our opinion) to congested Chaweng, is 10 mins away by car or moped, where you can dine at the many, lovely beachside restaurants. Many shops line the streets offering locally made souvenirs and clothes. Please note: For vehicle rental with us, all our cars are insured, with the guest being responsible, and limited, for the first 20,000 Baht of any damage. No insurance on mopeds where the guest pays for any damage incurred. It is the guests' responsibility to ensure that they also have their own comprehensive Travel & Health Insurance, and appropriate driving documentation for Thailand. All our vehicles will have a full tank of petrol for you. Please ensure you return the vehicle at the end of your stay with a full tank. No 'off-roading' or driving in harsh terrain. The rental car is not to be driven off the island. For larger grocery shopping you have Lotus's Superstore and large food supermarket, Makro, located in Lamai, and only 12 min drive from the villa. You will also find a number of 24 hour smaller convenience stores of 7-Eleven on the island. Nowhere on the island is more than 45 minutes drive away.
