Shimbwe Meadows Guest House is uniquely located within Kilimanjaro nature and offers a quiet and idyllic stay in a friendly atmosphere. At Shimbwe all guests are family and we welcome you to join us.
Shimbwe village is located about 40 minutes drive from Moshi town, up the beautiful Kilimanjaro. On the way you'll see green banana farms, rivers and valleys. You'll enjoy view of the mountain top in the mornings and late afternoon on clear days!
Our mountain home is ideal for nature lovers, serene and full of hidden nature pearls. We can't wait to show you around. We offer different hikes, including to the famous Materuni falls. Ask us about it.
Shimbwe village is also an amazing place to get to know the African way of life. The Chagga tribe, our people, are welcoming and warm, peace lovers, and are always happy to receive guests to the village.

We are excited to welcome you at Shimbwe Meadows Guest House. My name is Victor and I enjoy showing you my home around the beautiful Kilimanjaro. I grew up in the village and have been to the top of Mount Kilimanjaro for 60 times!
I'm your host and the Manager of Shimbwe meadows. I also own a safari and mountain climbing company, so you will be able to book your whole trip with us!
Our guesthouse is located about 40 min drive from Moshi town up the amazing Kilimanjaro. the road is surrounded by beautiful banana farms, rivers and valleys, and lots of smiling faces of our village people.

Shimbwe Meadows Guest House is located in the small Kilimanjaro village Shimbwe. It is a rural and quiet place and will provide a true Tanzania experience for you. Amongst tourists it is not very well known (yet) and is therefore not as busy as other locations around Kilimanjaro - things go pole pole here (slowly, slowly).
Our guesthouse is located about 40 min drive from Moshi town up the amazing Kilimanjaro. the road is surrounded by beautiful banana farms, rivers and valleys, and lots of smiling faces of our village people.
From here you can also start hikes and tours in the Kilimanjaro area with our guides, or even book your safari or mountain climbing with us ( see Shimboni Africa Tours).
So if you are looking for staying close to nature and to get to know African culture at the same time, this is just the place for you.
