Villa Tulia is a property consisting of two independent houses, located right next to the beach, in a mature tropical garden, just 10 steps from the ocean. Each house has a private pool. This is a place to relax and forget about stress. You can hideaway from the chaos of daily life, the office, and the crowds. We love simplicity, nature and comfort. This place gives you comfort and privacy.
We love Africa and always wanted to share our passion with other people. Villa Tulia is our solution for family reunions or spending time with friends. We love cooking and eating together. The kitchen has the ocean view and enough space on the terrace to accommodate big table where you could enjoy Swahili cuisine.
Matemwe has the longest beach in Zanzibar. Its economy is mostly based on seaweed farming and fishing. The village is the seat of an education project aimed at providing computer literacy to the population of the area as well as the Dada (in swahili: "sister") cooperative that is intended to create job opportunities for Zanzibari women involving them in the processing and preparation of handmade cosmetics and food products such as jam, mustard and sweets that are sold in Stone Town.
