Founded in 2001, after the kids grew up and flew the coop, our company began as a woman-owned sole proprietorship rooted in island hospitality. Located just one mile from Hawaiʻi Volcanoes National Park, we grew alongside the natural drama and global interest sparked by Kīlauea’s activity—welcoming travelers from around the world long before this became popular with copycats.
What started as one of only a handful of local bed and breakfasts has become one of the oldest and most recognized B&Bs on the east side of the Big Island, proudly continuing the tradition of serving real breakfast and personal hospitality. While trends and costs change, our commitment to warmth, experience, and doing things right has never wavered—so come enjoy it while the coffee’s hot and breakfast is still on the house.
