The HideAway Chalet is built on top of a 2-car garage so it seems like a luxury tree house with beautiful views of nature and tree tops. Yet it has a fully-equipped kitchen, and a queen bed with luxury natural European bedding. The Chalet overlooks the natural backyard full of trees and flowers and squirrels. It has a wall of mountain windows in the front, lots of natural light. The free laundry facilities are downstairs in the garage should you need to do laundry. The Chalet shares a large private fenced yard with the larger home, West Hills HideAway. The yard has grass on which you can picnic and view our flower gardens and maple trees. There is a barbecue for you if you want to cook outside with a couple of Adirondack style chairs.
We like the outdoors, snow sports, hiking, fishing, biking. Our properties are all surrounded by nature and that is what we like sharing with our guests...peace, relaxation, enjoyment, especially after their day's adventures. We like to enjoy the outdoors, whether with snow sports, hiking, fishing, biking, or walking to restaurants. We moved to Bend, Oregon in 2012 because of the 4 seasons and the mountains, rivers, and Alpine Lakes. We often go Kayaking, fishing, and in the winter Doug loves to ski and I enjoy snowshoeing. We both love hiking to mountain tops or along the many miles of rivers. There is so much to do! We chose each of our properties for the open space they provide for relaxing, and for the quiet neighborhoods that are near enough to the stores, restaurants, and other activities. We enjoy meeting people and sharing our homes with our guests.
The HideAway Chalet shares the property with our larger house, West Hills HideAway. They are each separate homes. The property is in a quiet neighborhood at the foot of Awbrey Butte. There is a playground and park 4 houses down the street and there is an open park around the corner. (This is great to exercise your dog.) The Chalet is about a mile from the Deschutes River, Downtown and just up the hill from Newport and Galveston Avenues that have many restaurants, a local Market, brew pubs, and coffee houses.
