West Vail might be the most convenient place in all of Vail. Home to all of the grocery stores you are also closer to the rest of Vail Valley including Beaver Creek, Avon Edwards and the rest. In the summer the bike path takes you in any direction you want for many miles. In the winter you can get to the closest ski chair in 4 minutes or to Lionshead Gondola about 5 minutes. Its quite and peaceful while being extremely close to everything you are looking for.
