Must be able to handle a couple of steps: 4 steps to enter the unit, and one step up into the little bathroom. Dishes and cooking utensils provided along with a 2-burner cooktop. No oven, but there is an air frier and a rice cooker. Fridge sized to accommodate longer stays. Countertops are bar height.

Ours is a quiet neighborhood. Pets are welcome. We do request dogs to stay on leash since they will encounter one another on our property and when walking to the beach. Birch bay is all about beach life: Strolling on the beach, kayaking, shell fish harvesting (in season) and going to the nearby restaurants. The food scene is small, but often includes live music. The beach side restaurants are about 2 miles north, where you'll also find a coffee shop with local arts and crafts for sale. Check online calendars for the many festivals throughout the year in Birch Bay, Blaine, and Semiahmoo For example, checkout the kite festival and the sand sculpture festival. We also enjoy old car shows, music, art, and food vendors. Blaine is 10 minutes north and offers more restaurants, a grocery store, post office, a Starbucks, and fast food.
