A DVD collection is also available for guests. The main bedroom with a queen sized bed has its own en suite bathroom with a bath and a shower. It also has sliding doors opening out on to the front deck where you are in amongst the trees and overlooking the jungle. Bedrooms 2 and 3 have double beds. Bedroom 2 has sliding doors opening out onto the front deck and bedroom 3 has a sliding door opening out onto the deck at the side of the house. Bedroom 2 and 3 share a large bathroom with shower. The pool area can be accessed through a wooden gated stairway from the main deck. Situated next to the pool area downstairs is a games room with a small kitchenette, a table tennis table and dart board as well as an outdoor trampoline. The property extends beyond the front garden down to the Mbizane estuary which is also a conservation area. Through the gate and a short walk via a private jungle path, guests have exclusive access to a private river bank where you can fish, swim, kayak (bring your own) or just enjoy the varied bird life and wildlife. I was born and raised in Suffolk, England but I moved to Cape Town, South Africa in 2008 due to my love of this country and especially Cape Town. A short drive away are numerous kids activities including an animal farm, water parks, crocodile farm, dinosaur park, cinema, the famed Macbanana, and endless kid friendly beaches. One of the worlds best dive sites is just an hours drive away at Aliwol Shoal. From May through July the coastline is witness to one of the greatest migrations during the Sardine Run. The sardines spawn in the cool waters of the Agulhas Bank and move northward along the east coast of South Africa. Their sheer numbers create a feeding frenzy along the coastline which is even visible from shore.You will see dolphins, whales, birds and huge shoals of fish. In terms of biomass, researchers estimate the sardine run could rival East Africa's great wildebeest migration. A very large flock of Barn Swallows (formerly named European Swallows) have chosen to roost in the reed-beds of Umkobi lagoon In the summer months (October to April), about 45 minutes before sunset, hundreds of thousands of swallows get ready for bed. The sight is nothing short of spectacular even to those who are not regular bird-watchers.
