23 km from Sondela Nature Reserve, Modubu Lodge is a recently renovated property located in Bela-Bela and provides air-conditioned rooms with free WiFi and private parking. There is a private entrance at the apartment for the convenience of those who stay. Featuring family rooms, this property also provides guests with a picnic area. The apartment provides guests with a terrace, garden views, a seating area, a flat-screen TV, a fully equipped kitchen with an oven and a microwave, and a private bathroom with walk-in shower. A toaster, a fridge and stovetop are also provided, as well as a kettle. At the apartment complex, all units come with bed linen and towels. In the warmer months, you can make use of the barbecue facilities and dine on the private patio. Guests at the apartment will be able to enjoy activities in and around Bela-Bela, like hiking. Nestled on the Waterberg Mountain just 10km north of Bela-Bela, Modubu Lodge offers an Oasis of peace & tranquility to come and unwind and recharge. Situated off main roads on a quiet, tarred, cul-de-sac road, tranquility is guaranteed.
We are just an hour’s drive from Tshwane and about two hours from Johannesburg.
If you are looking to escape the hustle & bustle of everyday life, then Modubu Lodge is just the place to be to unwind and reset.
Our competitively priced accommodation offering is limited to ensure the tranquility of our resort is not disturbed by overcrowding. Our accommodation offers exclusivity catered to your individual family needs.
Things to do at our resort:
• Relax at our warm and cold-water pools.
• Explore the resort’s bushveld and mountain on foot.
• Relax with a good book.
• Enjoy watching our on-site wildlife including Impala, Blue wildebeest, Kudu and Nyala.
• Bird lovers can see how many of the approximate 100 bird species you can tick off.
• Do stargazing when the stars come out to play.
• Enjoy a sundowner at our sundowner lookout point on the mountain.
• For the serious 4 x 4 enthusiasts we offer a short 4 x 4 trail.
We said goodbye to the city life rat race to live a better quality of life where the silence, peace & tranquility overwhelms. No traffic noise at our oasis. You might be awoken by lions doing their early morning thing (don't worry, they are not on our property and in a camp), but mostly your day will start with roosters announcing the dawn approaching.
If you are into birding like we are, you will recognize the early morning calls of birds such as the Fiery-necked Nightjar and the Black-headed Oriole, amongst others.
And don't forget to bring your camera. Photo opportunities abound. There are days where we take pics of birds or wildlife from our office.
Our animals such as Impala, Kudu, Blue Wildebeest and Nyala are almost guaranteed to surprise you with an appearance and a photo opportunity,
Feeling like a taking a hike, our property offers opportunities to hike level ground, mountainous 4x4 trails, and a visit to the ravine on the north of our resort.
Bela-Bela is renowned for tourism in the Waterberg area of Limpopo. Within a 60 km radius you can experience the following:
- Waterberg Zipline adventures (for the adrenalin seekers)
- Thaba Kwena Crocodile farm (for a crocodile educational experience)
- Adventures with Elephants (for an educational experience with elephants)
