Extremely clean, plentiful breakfast (a paid option), good location, excellent service. I would stay here again if I came back to ride on the near by long bike trail.

Charming is the word that springs to mind when you first see Auberge Au Soleil. Arriving early, we were welcomed by pleasant staff in the restaurant on the first floor who explained when our room would be ready and gave us some ideas for how to enjoy our time in the interim. It’s a very easy walk from the auberge to the public area at the lakefront, as well as to the Magazin (a nice little general store with great baked goods), and various historic spots. There is no shortage of scenic photo ops close by! On a clear night, be sure to visit the little nearby park where you can look up at the stars from benches intentionally built with reclined backs to make stargazing more comfortable.

Everything was amazing, the Hotel has been lovingly restored and all the personal touches add to its homely feel. The complimentary breakfast was homemade and next level delicious. Also having an owner present on the property is another lovely touch.

A lovely house in the perfect location to explore Charlevoix. It’s charming, clean, and extremely comfortable. Besides, Alain creates a lovely atmosphere for the guests around the breakfast table, which was one of the best parts of our stay.
