Gabrielle, a seasoned michelin star chef and his wife Aliona opened this hotel in 2023. It was a monastery back in 1800 and they renovated mostly by themselves and their 2 sons. Every corner of the hotel has a personal touch, showing their passion and utmost care to a place they now call home. We truly felt their warmth and hospitality. They showed the process of the renovation for 9 full months. It has been an amazing experience in Tuscany and i fell in love with Italy because of their cities and hospitalities. Hope you could visit and stay at this place when you are visiting Tuscany. They have a set menu lunch and dinner at 45 and 65 eur / person, but we have not got a chance to try because they have a full day wedding the next day, so it is not serving lunch and dinner. Locanda di Ansedonia - Ristorante de Griglio is a true gem in Italy! My mom and I checked in and were immediately greeted by one of the most beautiful and kind-hearted women I've ever met. Her warmth and hospitality shone through, making us feel instantly at home. I was starving after a long journey, but they came to the rescue with the BEST sandwiches I’ve ever tasted in Italy—absolutely delicious! Later, we dined at the restaurant, where we were treated to mouthwatering grilled meats that had my taste buds doing a joyful belly dance. The quality of the food here is simply unbeatable! The hospitality is top-notch, and the entire experience was unforgettable. I’ll definitely be back if I’m ever in the area again. Thank you to the amazing staff for such a memorable stay!
