You can tell the owner and people working there are putting love into caring for this place. It is not right next to the city, but it is only a short cab drive if you feel like going out. If you are looking for a place to relax, swim, and want to enjoy a beautiful tranquil place - this is it! The room was spacious and had an ocean view. The property is the best I have ever stayed in. Highly recommend and I will be returning! Staff and owner were super friendly and greeted us with a beverage upon arrival. They made sure we had everything we needed and were very pleasant. Can't say enough good things! :)

He's down there every day shooting clips of everyone surfing and as a local knows everyone in town and the water. Chente's has super fast Star Link internet if you need to hop online, air conditioned rooms (which you'll need - it's hot), and really good coffee every morning. Couldn't be more stoke to have stayed at Chente's and will be coming back.

This was a great family friendly, centrally located, budget friendly hotel. We loved being right downtown in the heart of things! We didn't know it but there is a communal kitchen which would be super nice for longer stays (we only stayed one night). Everything was in good condition, clean and the staff were friendly and helpful. We didn't get a room with AC but there were plenty of fans! I'd definitely stay here again.
