Set by Lake Kilpisjärvi off the E8 motorway, this resort is within 7 km of the Swedish and Norwegian borders. It offers cottages and apartments with private saunas, full kitchens and free Wi-Fi. Location was perfect. Holy mountain Saana on the one side, beautiful Kilpisjärvi lake on the other side, several reindeer strolling around. The accommodation had all the necessary things for a pleasant stay. Great location for daily hikes around. Even the Norwegian fjords are a mere half-hour car ride away. Kilpisjärvi is my favourite area in Finland so far - highly recommended for all hiking and nature enthusiasts.

Wilderness Hotel Juutua is located right on the banks of Juutua River, in the immediate vicinity of Inari village's services. The award-winning Restaurant Aanaar is located in Wilderness Hotel Juutua.... Excellent hotel! The view was amazing from both room and restaurant. Restaurant Aanaar is top quality restaurant and the breakfast is absolutely fantastic. I would recommend the hotel at any time of year.

We chose a place to stay further away from the city center, looking for a remote and quiet place away from the tourist crowds, but with the convenience of good service and a restaurant. The host is an awesome guy who cares a lot about his customers, and his little dog, Onni, is a real sweetheart. The place is like old time Lapland accomodation. The atmosphere is very calming, silent and homelike. Food is exceptional here and local products are used to prepare them. We got to also witness the Auroras with a small surprize from our host. The property was extremely clean, luxurious and the design was fabulous! We really enjoyed our stay there. It’s perfect place for couples as it’s very peaceful and romantic place. The view from the glass roof and the glass walls was just one of a kind.

Everything was so nice. The hotel is right in front of a lake and every room as lake view. In our case we had snow and the lake was frozen, but the area and the hotel offers plenty of activities for that weather. We were travelling with our little girl so we couldn't book a Aurora Borealis "hunt" but we were lucky enough to see the Aurora from our room at 10pm! It was so magical. I recommend this hotel and this trip to anyone that wants to disconnect and have amazing days in the nature.
