Lovely tour of the building and the history.
Lovely tour of the building and the history. Unfortunately. there was a rehearsal ongoing so we were not able to go inside the main hall so do ask before you purchase a ticket as that is the main attraction. The final performance on the steps was a lovely touch.

If you buy tickets that say "Obstructed view", BE CAREFUL!
If you buy tickets that say "Obstructed view", BE CAREFUL! It's not obstructed, it's NO VIEW AT ALL! It'd be nice for the experience, but don't expect to see lots of the show (Opera/Ballet) if you buy these tickets. I did and it was worth it anyway, but be advised! (It's good value for money, though...)

It's a magnificent building and the opera
itself was most satisfying. Voices, music, performance and decorations were amazing! Only problem - was finding a wardrobe, seems that there are different cloak rooms depending on your seat. 1st row on a balcony isn't comfortable, 2nd was ways better.
