Very helpful and friendly staff, even lent me his own adapter for charging my iPhone over night. The room and facilities are spacious, clean and comfy. The restaurant is hosted by a team of very helpful and cheerful staff. Dining at the balcony facing the castle is an extraordinary experience!

We arrived early by car. Onsite free parking was a big plus. We were allowed to check into our room several hours before check in time. The staff was most friendly and accomodating. Walking distance from the hotel lies the Old Town of Fussen. The ‘Rewe’ grocery was just a short walk away. Most impressive was the breakfast both in presentation, variety and taste. We would definitely book here again when we return to Fussen.

Excellent and huge selection at breakfast, everything is fresh and delicious. The restaurant has an excellent chef and the food is very delicious. The pizza and pasta day is a good idea, the pizza is very good as if we were eating it in Italy.Very helpful, kind and always smiling staff, the waiters are excellent and quick to serve. Mira was such a kind hostess. She gave us information on local attractions and a wonderful breakfast. The facilities were beautiful and very clean. We enjoyed the games in the common family room. On-site parking was very easy.

    The family room was perfect for our family with two teens. Breakfast was excellent. We also chose to eat dinner at the hotel. The staff were very nice and made our stay extra enjoyable with their kindness. The hotel is exactly as advertised, with a room that looks directly at the Neuschwanstein castle. It’s breathtaking!

    The staff was very friendly and helpful. We came in really late, but they made sure we knew where and how to get in. The next day, they held our luggage while we walked to Neuschwanstein Castle, and they don't have a room or much space for extra bags. They gave up quite a bit of their office space so we could enjoy our visit without lugging our big bags. The customer's experience and comfort are their main goal. Thank you, Hotel Alpenstuben!

    The location was perfect, the restaurant was excellent and the rooms had beautiful views. The hotel is a few steps from the bus, the horse-drawn carriage or the path up to Neuschwanstein castle making it very convenient. Hohenschwangau is literally a few steps away. We loved this hotel.

    Nice quiet location. You can see the Neuschwanstein castle just right from the hotel. We got a very spacious room with a big bath tub in bathroom. Great staff and great breakfast!

    Beautiful hotel room with a view of neuschwanstein from the balcony! The staff were super friendly and helpful with any request. The breakfast was certainly worth the price with many fresh options. It's one of the closest hotels to the neuschwanstein castle (~20 minute walk up a steep hill). Bonus: The underground parking had electric chargers for my rental EV.

    Location very close to the Neuschwanstein Castle. In fact you can see it from the entrance of the hotel. To get there, just walk out to the shuttle bus which is walking distance (about 5 minutes walk). Free parking, free breakfast. Staff was very friendly and welcoming. If coming by car, there are places to eat around the area, even at night. Quiet and cosy at night, with a balcony to sit out and enjoy the breeze. Since we arrived in the evening, there was an instruction sent on how to retrieve the key to the main door and room.

    Location is ideal for visiting the castles, immediately next door to the shuttle stop--the recommended way to get up to Neuschwanstein Castle. The hotel is also just a short (but uphill) walk to Hohenschwangau Castle. The included breakfast was complete, hot and delicious. Hotel and restaurant staff were all very friendly and helpful, and the hotel is impeccably clean. We ate dinner at the hotel restaurant both nights of our stay, and the food was delicious.

    Location to the Neuschwanstein castle was the best you could get! A short but steep walk up and there you were at the castle doors. Beautiful and unique looking hotel with beautiful views of south Germany. Breakfast was pretty good and the wait staff very helpful and friendly.

    This excellent hotel is positioned right between Hohenschwangau and Neuschwanstein Castles -- and I mean right between. Both castles and the ticket/information center are within walking distance of the hotel. It also was within decent driving distance to Linderhof Castle. The staff were friendly and helpful. Breakfast and dinners were well prepared and well staffed. The hotel did have a lift to get our luggage up and down to our upper floor room.
