Absolutely amazing! Room was fantastic and felt such a luxury stay. The pool was amazing and facilities great. Nice little gym too which looks out on to the sea! The staff were so friendly and helpful and the breakfast was amazing! Even with mimosas too!

Our stay at the hotel was really nice, the family is very helpful and welcoming and does everything to give you a pleasant stay. They also organised two snorkeling trips for us, which also where very beautiful.

If you are looking for simple accommodation with the warmest of hosts this is the place for you. Madame, Matt and the team are kind and hospitable with excellent knowledge of the island and the various activities you can do. They provide a relaxed atmosphere which feels like you are staying with family. The location of the chalet is in Fisherman’s village which feels much more local. Madame and Matt can easily organise water taxis to ‘tourist-magnet’ Long Beach (for sunbathing, not snorkelling). The Perhentian Bay Chalet team organised a wonderful snorkelling day trip for us. They know all the best spots to see turtles, sharks and wonderful coral. The food offering is mainly freshly made rotis and omelettes. They were very considerate and accommodating of my dairy-free diet. We’d recommend you bringing cash as atm points are non-existent and card machines are far and few between. We formed great friendships with the staff and were thrilled to get involved in an impromptu karaoke session on one night during a rain storm. It was a really nice place, one of the best and cheapest place in the long beach. Comfortable, cozy and close to the beach. I recommend because other resorts are unnecessary expensive for the same service.
