Boulder City Dam Inn and the town are gorgeous and nice stay. Quality Inn looks nice too on bluff near Lake. Temple Bar Resort has VERY basic cabins with kitchen right on the lake beach in a great location, for young backpackers or RV families. Check it out - best on Google maps then click images.

The El Rancho Boulder Motel's location is perfect for visiting the Hoover Dam and Lake Mead and it is a short drive to Las Vegas. The town of Boulder City was perfect for our family trip, easy to walk to food and drink and a short, easy drive to the attractions we wanted to see. The front desk was very kind and helpful, the property clean and well maintained. Our rooms were comfortable and clean.

Loved the historic aura of this hotel. The free Boulder City/Hoover Dam museum was a pleasant surprise, definitely worth doing! Room was comfortable and the location was fantastic in the charming historic little town of Boulder City. Very close to the Hoover Dam and easy drive to the Vegas airport. Don’t miss the Bighorn sheep against the beautiful mountainous backdrop of Lake Mead at Hemenway Park, a 5 minute drive away.

Quick overnight stay at the unique Boulder Dam hotel. Friendly and helpful staff. Small room with stiff mattress = not my best night sleep. But the Boulder Dam museum within the hotel is interesting and worth your time. Boulder City is a nice little escape from the glitz and traffic of Las Vegas. Close to Lake Mead and Boulder Dam.

El Rancho is in a perfect location for LV, the Hoover Dam and Lake Mead. The accommodation is spacious and comfortable, especially the beds, and it served our needs just fine.

Good location between Lake Mead and Boulder City. The room was very clean and comfortable, although slightly outdated. Nice big TV in the room, and I always appreciate having a microwave and fridge. Reception staff were super nice. I realize the prices for hotels anywhere near Las Vegas is silly money, but you get much better value further on in Arizona and Utah, so I can't help but compare. That said, I'd happily stay here again.

Well, if I was traveling to Vegas I’d stay in Vegas. But for a restful night on a cross-country drive I was glad to discover Boulder City. No neon, no noise and no casinos. It’s near beautiful Lake Mead and the Hoover Dam.
The hotel’s restaurant was good for a decent light supper and a glass of excellent local craft beer, and there are a couple of other food options within an easy walk. Everyone I met here was exceptionally friendly - I experienced true hospitality.

Based on the photos from booking.com I wasn't expecting such a large casino hotel. Nevertheless, we had a good stay. The service and food in the restaurant were quite good. From the hotel it is an easy to walk to an abandoned rail line with some tunnels along Lake Mead. Parking was plentiful and it was easy to park close to the hotel entrance.
