Well equipped cabins overlooking the bay. Very efficiently arranged. Nice outside deck, covered parking. Great breakfast and for all an excellent value. We highly recommend! The owner was most gracious as were the staff.

I want to thank Pamela for the hospitality, my friends and I felt like at home. Pamela is kind, interesting in communication person, she recommended us a really delicious place to have dinner in the city (I recommend you ask too!). After visiting the oceanfront park, we returned for another night. The room is spacious, the beds are comfortable, the shower is excellent, there is plenty of space on the veranda to enjoy the view of the bay and the city. Basic but excellent breakfast, fast internet. And if you love cats and dogs, you will definitely like this place. It's not a problem at all that the house is far from the city center — public transport runs often and is cheap. I recommend this place with all my heart! That's what we needed to rest between hiking and moving between cities.

This is an exceptional stay, the location is wonderful with the sea advancing underneath the property at high tide. The bird life is easy to spot from inside the cabin and the balcony is a good size to sit out in. You can stargaze from there at night. Inside the log burner keeps everything cozy and the kitchen is well equipped. There are shops within a 10 minute walk. Castro is easily accessible by local bus. If you don’t speak Spanish, the drivers are very helpful. Castro itself is a good visit with lots of shops and cafes and good views. The staff overcome language problems with ease simply with the desire for you to enjoy your stay. There are cats, chickens and a very engaging young dog. I don’t give 10/10s. This is a 10/10.

We loved the place and the accommodations and were sad to leave after three days. The perfect place to de-stress and/or relax after a day of exploration. The cabin is beautifully designed for both comfort and for taking advantage of the view. We enjoyed the birds and the occasional dolphin.

Located only a 15-minute drive south of Castro, Cabañas Trayen offers self-catering bungalow accommodation in Nercón. This has wonderful views and a great setting. It is up a narrow side road but worth it when you get there.
