Didn’t expect the room come with little pantry with ricecooker, water kettle, and stove to cook. Plates, cups and utensil for cooking also provided. But they only allow Halal food ya. There is fridge also. Room is very clean and love the sweet pink color room😆 pool is not too deep and have lovely warm temperature. This place is well maintain.

Tolle Anlage die direkt am Meer gelegen ist. Von unserer Strandhütte konnten wir direkt den Sonnenuntergang beobachten. Romeo und seine Familie sind sehr zuvorkommend und freundlich. Sie haben jeden Tag frisch für und gekocht. Frischen Fisch, Meeresfrüchte und Gemüse, es war das beste Essen das wir in Borneo hatten! Außerdem hat er ein Boot mit dem er uns zum Schnorcheln ausgeführt hat. Wir haben viele bunte Korallen und Fische gesehen und auf einer kleinen Insel Mittag gegessen. Es war atemberaubend schön!

The lodge is impressively clean, well-maintained, and full of character. The rooms are spacious, freshly renovated, and each comes with its own private bathroom. We stayed in the Double Room, which was very comfortable and equipped with a fan—perfect for keeping cool at night. All the essentials are available on-site, including kayak and snorkeling gear rentals, which made exploring the area super convenient. One of the absolute highlights of our stay was the food. Sook Peng, Fred’s wife, is not only an incredible cook but also a truly warm and welcoming person. Sharing meals with her was a joy, and her cooking made every meal memorable. There are also cozy hammocks for relaxing, and the peaceful atmosphere made it easy to unwind. We couldn't recommend this place more highly—it's a rare gem built with heart and purpose. Oh, I was almost forgetting, both land and transport are organized by the Fred and Sook Peng and everything went super smooth! Terima kasih Fred and Sook Peng!

Das The Last Frontier Boutique Resort begrüßt Sie auf einem 100 m langen Hügel mit Blick auf das Naturschutzgebiet Kinabatangan. Das Resort liegt ganz oben auf einem Regenwald-Höhenzug. Der Aufstieg ist anfangs schon etwas beschwerlich, aber man gewöhnt sich dran und es lohnt sich auf jeden Fall! Die beiden Besitzer sind unsagbar nett, freundlich und hilfsbereit. Wir erfuhren schon auf dem Hinweg viele Dinge über Borneo und die Region und wurden auch vor Ort weiterhin liebevoll über die geplanten Aktivitäten und die Gegend informiert. Bei den beiden Flussfahrten wurde stets auf unsere Wünsche Rücksicht genommen und wir sahen viele Tiere (auch Krokodile). Man ist eben mitten im Regenwald und kann sämtlichen Tieren begegnen. Das können unter Umständen auch mal Schlangen sein (hatten wir jetzt aber nicht). Dafür hatten wir das Glück auf unserer Waderung durch den Regenwald einem Orang-Utan mit Baby zu begegnen - ein unfassbares Erlebnis! Das Essen welches immer frisch zubereitet wird, war abwechslungsreich und suuuper lecker! Generell war dies ein Aufenthalt, der uns in Erinnerung bleiben wird und wir können es nur jedem empfehlen, den Weg über die 600 Stufen auf sich zu nehmen!

Thoughtful details in the room. Pleasantly surprised to find this in such a location.

Die in der Region Sabah in Kinabatangan gelegene Unterkunft Borneo Jungle Adventure bietet kostenloses WLAN und einen kostenlosen Privatparkplatz. Unglaublicher Aufenthalt in Dschungel! Wir haben 4 Tage gebucht und Borneos Big 5 erleben dürfen. Der Höhepunkt war eine Orang-Utan Mutter mit Kind, einfach unvergesslich. Die Zimmer sind sehr einfach gehalten und großer Luxus darf nicht erwartet werden (würde aber auch nicht zu einem Dschungel Abenteuer passen). Das Essen war unglaublich lecker und der Gemeinschafts Bereich in der Lodge war sehr gemütlich eingerichtet. Da der Fluss stark überflutet war sind die Regenwaldtouren ausgefallen und es haben nur die Flussfahrten stattgefunden.

Really amazing place to stay near all of the sights in Sepilok. I chose to walk everywhere and it seemed to be in a pretty central location. Food was tasty and staff was friendly.

Die Unterkunft Maglami-lami Water House mit Meerblick in Semporna bietet Übernachtungsmöglichkeiten mit einem Restaurant. I stayed here with my family, on my first trip to Sempurna. Had high expectations after seeing a lot of pics from Sempurna and they did not disappoint. The check in and drop off were seamlessly arranged. They also helped arrange our tour while we were there. The first day we went sea walking and the next day we went island hopping with a good amount of time spent snorkelling. There are also activities arranged near the water house, we did a bit of kayaking around the water house. The rooms are clean. The staff are very kind and helpful with good karaoke and music after dinner. Being in the sea, the sea food served during the buffet dinner was really good. This is a good place to take fabulous photos and also to soak in the goodness of the sea and nature. Sempurna was a lovely place, and I met a lot of interesting people. It's not crowded like KK and therefore you get to really enjoy all the sea activities at a pace we find good. The people like all in South East Asia are very kind, welcoming and warm. I'm sure I won't have any second thoughts to choose Maglami-lami Waterhouse if we ever plan another trip to lovely Sempurna.
