It was very easy to arrange anything you want, from going to the city, renting motorbike and bbq. The bbq you don’t have to buy any meat as it will be prepared.

The staff is helpful, but does not speak English, so the translator is useful. Perfect place for quiet days on the seaside. We also enjoyed the infinity pool much!

Pobyt v Happy Monkeys Village jsme si moc užili. Přímo z terásky naší chaty jsme měli krásný výhled do džungle, mohli jsme pozorovat opice a slyšeli jsme šumění vodopádů hned pod námi. Majitel je velmi milý, ochotný splnit všechna přání a poradit s výlety k vodopádům — a hlavně jeho palačinky k snídani byly úžasné! Ubytování je hned u vstupu k vodopádům Goa Tetes. Cesta vede přímo přes vodopády, až do jeskyně, přes kterou padá vodopád rovnou před vámi. Dále trek pokračuje až k dechberoucím Tumpak Sewu a po cestě se pak můžete jednoduše vrátit zpět do ubytování. Tento výlet byl jeden z nejlepších, které jsme na Jávě zažili — a díky Happy Monkeys Village ho můžete zvládnout celý pěšky. Paráda!

We stayed here to visit Tumpak Sewu, but gave ourselves an extra day. We’re so glad we did this as we had the best day of our trip - we visited Kapas Biru waterfall (a hidden gem with not many tourists, and a steep but manageable walk down/up). Then we mentioned at reception that we wanted to see Mount Semeru. The wonderful Suzan who works at Artha Cottages took us there herself! We took mopeds and she took us to three different spots and we watched the sunset behind the volcano - and Suzan took lots of photos for us on her camera which was so special! We’ve talked about this moment weeks after the holiday as the kindness of Suzan to do this really meant a lot to us. The food in the restaurant was nice and they let me have meals without the meat in as I’m a vegetarian. We also ate a few times at a local Warung (Selera Nusantara) which was delicious and had a big menu. The rooms had everything we needed, the pool was amazing after hiking, the trips were 10/10, but the people at Artha Cottages made it.

Everything was perfect. We went to hike the Gunung Raung and we spent in total 3 nights here. We loved it. The breakfast was excellent, the pool really nice... The bed comfortable... We definitely recommend!! And we'll come again!

Very good place with cool climate and very hospitable hosts, they went the extra mile to provide us with everything we need and some. We told them that we’re expecting friends to join us and they provide us with utensils and extra glasses for our friends. Really there is almost no fault with this property. Oh, the food provided is nice to have, try their tempe kemul. Delicious!
