We loved our 7 nights stay in the Lagoon Village hotel. It is clear to see the vision, passion and effort that have been put and are still making, just beautiful. Breakfast on the floating restaurant with the jungle backdrop was special. The hotel staff were very friendly and helpful, making our stay very relaxing and wanted for nothing. We all enjoyed the SPA and horse riding. Getting to and from town via tuc tuc for tours to the blue lagoon, waterfalls and thermal baths was easy, fast and inexpensive. A unique combination of pristine location right a the river with access for swimming, beautiful clean rooms, excellent vegetarian meals and a genuine ecological commitment paired with a know how of the owners of the area which is a great plus. Javier and Claudia not only manage the property, they also lead a number of excellent and great value activities. I went on hikes and did several other experiences which were all outstanding. Highly recommend staying a Chirapa Manta either individually or part of a retreat.

Really beautiful location. Lots of nice short trails around for exploring, beautiful view of the river lots of nice sights and sound of la serva in a relatively luxurious setting. The pool was perfect for our kids and there’s a natural pool fed by water flowing down from the mountain just a few minutes’ walk away. The included breakfast buffet had a lot of nice local food: Juanes, tamales, plantains, herbal teas and jams etc. and very good scrambled eggs(not always easy on a buffet) ask for the hot sauce criolla(?) Also loved the cold fresh coconuts as a poolside drink. Other meals are not included but the prices are decent and the food is all good. The staff was really friendly and helpful with any requests They have monkeys that visit! (Tamarins)
