Shepherds Tree Game Reserve is a lodge concession, located on the south western portion of the Pilanesberg Game Reserve and 18 km away from Sun City. We loved absolutely everything…staff, facilities and the beautiful food.

Black Rhino Game Lodge offers spacious, well-appointed accommodation situated in Pilanesberg, 33 km from Sun City. Free WiFi is provided and free parking is available on site. Everything (!!!) was fantastic. The breakfast, the room, the high tea, the dinner. But mostly: the staff and the safari tours. Exceptional!

Whether you're going as a huge family or just a honeymoon couple, it is accustomed to every one of your needs. The location is magical, the facilities and rooms are clean and beautiful. All staff are the kindest people. So sweet, warm, and giving. Ranger Ryan made our trip. He was our everything :) Day or night, he was ready to take us on a game drive. And pretty much made sure we were always comfortable. There is no doubt in my mind that we are coming back. Thank you for the most unbelievable experience. Camille & Acher

The entire team went above and beyond to make us feel welcome, and every single person we met was exceptionally kind and genuine. The food was delicious, and every meal felt like a treat. A special shoutout to our amazing guide Andrew – your knowledge and energy made our experience truly unforgettable. And a huge thank you to our wonderful host Phindi – you were so helpful and kind.
