Comfortable Accommodations: Onsen Guest House Tsutaya in Hakone offers comfortable rooms with private bathrooms, air conditioning, and mountain views. Facilities were clean and well maintained. Rarely anybody is in the onsen when you want to go so you get the whole place to yourself. It's pretty close to bus stops so if you want to travel to the Hakone cable car it's doable (same with open air museum).

It was clean, safe and quiet. There is a kitchen so you can eat your meals at the guesthouse and don’t need to worry about finding food. They offer a shuttle to the nearest station and museum which was a great help as the guesthouse is a bit secluded in a quiet neighborhood. There are hiking trails nearby and would love to visit again and explore more of the area around the guesthouse.

Opened in April 2017, Hakone Kowakien Tenyu offers Japanese-style rooms with tatami flooring, an open-air bath or ceramic open-air hot springs bath made with Shigaraki pottery. Everything was perfect. We booked two nights and enjoyed different dinner every night. Every tiny detail of the accommodation was thoughtfully planned. Special thanks to the young singer, her performance was superb.

Hakone Suimeiso se nachází 3 minuty pěšky od nádraží Hakone Yumoto a 15 minut pěšky od chrámu Sounji. Nabízí veřejné termální koupele, naplacené parkoviště a bezplatné Wi-Fi. Melinda was the hostess who took care of us for the 2 nights. She was very professional, friendly and took the time to explain each dishes to us at dinner and breakfast. The same can be said of all the staff. The Kaseiki dinner and breakfast were exceptional, especially the quality of the sashimi. We stayed 2 nights and the menus are different on both days. Our traditional room is very clean, on the 5th floor with view of trees and river below. The outdoor onsen was small but very clean, with the same beautiful trees and river views. I was pretty much the only peson at the outdoor onsen in the evening, so quiet and relaxing with sound of the river . We also booked the private onsens for 2 days and they were also clean with modern aesthetic vibes.
