The facility is great and the hotel is beautiful and clean. My family enjoyed it greatly. The private onsen is definitely worth the visit. The longue was also a good amentity to have. Overall, very great experience

Second time staying at this beautiful hotel. First things first, the staff are just wonderful. The Onsen has an incredible view (be sure to stay two nights, as there are two Onsens. But only one with a view. Gender is swapped each day. The rooftop bar with foot baths is a lovely touch. The rooms are very comfortable and the location is perfect. Again the staff are incredible. We will never stay anywhere else in Kyoto. Can't wait to return!!

Facing the central shopping street of the Kinosaki Onsen hot spring area, Morizuya offers authentic Japanese-style accommodation, hot spring baths and Japanese dining. The property is absolutely gorgeous, we had the traditional Japanese room which was spacious, clean and very beautiful. The host greeted us, explained everything in great detail, took some pictures and then we were invited to a tea ceremony that was hosted by his mother. I would definitely book the room again - probably the best experience in our Japan trip.

Founded in the 12th century and beloved by Junichiro Tanizaki and other Japanese novelists, Tosen Goshobo is the oldest of the hot-spring inns at Arima. We had a wonderful and relaxing stay at Tocen Goshobo. It was just a few minutes walk away from the bus stops. The onsen bath was atmospheric and the temperature felt just right (not too hot even for inexperienced bathers). The staff was wonderfully welcoming, the room lovely and the futon beds extra comfortable. The Arima onsen village was bigger than we expected, several dinner options (we opted for only breakfast (was superb!) at the Tocen Goshobo).

It is very peaceful and a nice 15 minute walk to many restaurants and beach. The staff made us feel so welcome. The bakery is top notch. I have had very delicious baked goods in multiple European countries, and this is right up there. We thought at first the mattress was a little firm(this seems standard in Japan), but ended up sleeping well.
