I found this hotel as a halfway point between two cities I was visiting by pure chance. And I’m very happy I did. The room was beautiful, with its own open air bath overlooking the trees. The hotel itself is surrounded by beautiful gardens, on a hilltop overlooking a valley. The dinner was an experience in itself, and the breakfast buffet was of ectremely high quality as well. I was the only non-Japanese but staff were incredibly accommodating, patient and helpful. A highlight of my trip.

If you now reading this review, I strongly suggest you book this hotel or at least list it on your top priority. The hotel really suit for 1-2 people stay and extremely value for money. - There are both indoor and open-air Onsen with sauna. After the bath, they provide you with free Ice-cream or probiotic milk. - There are small manga library at the top floor, which you can borrow it and read in your room. - Around 9.30pm. they provide a free ramen service at the restaurant. - The breakfast is testy and varied, they even have special dishes serve in buffet line to suit with festival timing(I go there at Christmas timing, they got strawberry short cake and ChirashiSushi for new year season). - Location is also great, not so far from main station and surround by restaurant and department store. - Staff are very friendly and helpful.

They have been clean and friendly, the breakfast is quite acceptable and the nightly drink bar is a welcome addition. The complimentary amenities are a pleasant bonus.

Dormy Inn Kurashiki is a 6-minute walk from Kurashiki Train Station and a 40-minute drive from Okayama Airport. Rooms very roomy, great location and very nice and clean onsen.
