The Onsen are well equipped and you can sit in them while enjoying the view on the lake with a fresh breeze coming your way. Although somewhat limited in English, the staff was very committed to helping us in any matter. Definitely recommend visiting the lounge on the 10th floor for drinks (some are free in the evening) and a very pretty small shop, full of locally sourced products (culinary and small arts). After our evening Onsen round, the hotel offered amazing Soba to close the night. We took the breakfast in the morning and were not disappointed, as it features plenty of very delicious options.

The room was very beautiful Japanese styled, and super clean. The breakfast was one of the best we had!

Yumotokan har en god beliggenhed i Ogoto Onsen-distriktet i Otsu. Det ligger 16 km fra Enryakuji-templet, 17 km fra Mount Hiei og 19 km fra Shoren-in-templet. Onsens were awesome. Kaiseki dinners were ok. Room was huge by Japan standards.

They went above and beyond to help us celebrate our honeymoon. I was so grateful for how hard they all worked and how kind they all were. We also got the breakfast service in our room, which was excellent, and they provided several drinks in the fridge for us for free. They shuttled us from the station and back to it, and we were even sent off by the staff at the end of our stay. So friendly and welcoming. Also, our deluxe suite had the private open air bath, and I can't recommend that enough. It was so relaxing and incredible. Lastly, I personally loved the toiletries and additional things that came with the room (shampoo, straightener, beverages, yukata, pajamas, etc.)
