NetherlandsWe came to Hotel Playa Laguna Front to unplug, relax, and enjoy the lagoon -- and that's exactly what we did for 5 days. The hotel is in a prime location, sitting at perhaps the most colorful, swimmer-friendly part of the lagoon. You can tell it's a prime spot because a lot of boat tours end around this area to let people swim in the lighter waters there near the cenote. It's also only a couple kms from the town center, so you can easily get into town while still having enough distance from the more touristy center. The hotel itself isn't a fancy upscale place, but that's not what we were looking for. Nonetheless the hotel is new and the facilities are clean/modern with great bathrooms. The hotel is run by a lovely team who were really accommodating...big thanks to the manager Evaristo for always being there to help with any questions.
Another great thing is that the kayaks and sup-boards are free to use from 6am to 6pm. The only day you can't use them is on Wednesday when no water activities (other than swimming) are allowed across the lagoon. Wednesdays are conservation days, with inactivity allowing the lagoon to restore itself.

Canadabreakfast was good on both the days. there's always scrambled eggs, cheese slices, sliced luncheon meat (deli), oj, coffee, fruit bowl, bread, jam, butter, amazing corn bread, muesli, yogurt and a toaster to toast ur bread. the views are special here and the waters are perfect throughout the day and early night too. not deep at all so safe for everyone. NetherlandsAbsolutely lovely place with such kind and lovely owners. It was very homely and comfortable, while not feeling like we were in somebody else's space.
We loved that there was a stove, oven, microwave, fridge and coffee machine in the communal area. It felt a bit like a hostel, except that the crowd was very mixed in age and also included families.
We stayed in Mexico for four weeks and this was our favourite place.

United KingdomThe apartment was beautiful, large, clean and well maintained with everything you needed to self cater. Air-conditioning worked well and the rooms were spacious and well furnished. We really liked that drinking water and ground coffee were provided.
The pool area is fantastic with a large clean pool. The music drove us slightly mad when we arrived but the staff kindly turned it off so we could relax and read our books with just the jungle sounds.
The hotel offers a washing service which ended up being cheaper and easier than the laundry service we had used in town previously. There is a small shop with basics and pool towels can be hired. They provide a great information card with some excellent restaurant recommendations, trips etc. Communication was really good before and during our stay.
The hotel is calm and relaxing with a fantastic staff team on duty 24hr. We loved our stay here.

Location is nice and free parking is ok. We had bad weather so all and all it was not too nice. But the place was ok for a night or two, but not longer. Location is ok, opposite to the public entrance if the lake.

Lovely hotel, immaculately maintained with beautiful gardens and pool area. Food served at breakfast and dinner was very good, staff very helpful and loved access to the free bikes. Is off street parking for a limited number of cars.

Charming hotel, very well located opposite a pontoon providing free access to the lagoon (with lots of people!!). Spacious room. Easy street parking. 15 minutes walk from the city center.
On the other hand, the rest does not follow... :(

The livingroom was comfortable. Beds were comfortable too. A/C's were efficient.
Nice big refrigerator. Secure parking inside a locked gate.
It was nice that there was 1/2 a tank of drinking water on a countertop dispenser.
Quiet neighbourhood.
Sergio did his best to host us although I didn't get the impression it was his forte or main concern.
