The host Sandro is extremely helpful, he knows everything about Chiloe and provides with wonderful tips and hints on what to do and see in the area 12 out of 10!

Located in Ancud and only 1.3 km from Arena Gruesa Beach, Hostal Casa Damasco provides accommodation with sea views, free WiFi and free private parking. The property has city and inner courtyard... The location was amazing. Literally like 1 minute to the coast from the hostel(walking) and only a few blocks from the artisanal market and to the towns’ busy area. The house was decorated beautifully and was very spacious. The host Raúl was very intelligent, well mannered, and informative. Though, I didn’t use it, he offers tours in his Hostel (penguins, the town, etc). Very good communication with him and he recommended us good places to eat and where to visit within Ancud and where to go afterwards. The beds were comfy and the bathroom was perfect. Private parking available upon request. Central AC in the house, so we slept nice and warm.

Situated 1.9 km from Sabanilla Beach, Cabañas y hostal Aurora features accommodation with a garden, a terrace and a shared kitchen for your convenience. I want to thank Pamela for the hospitality, my friends and I felt like at home. Pamela is kind, interesting in communication person, she recommended us a really delicious place to have dinner in the city (I recommend you ask too!). After visiting the oceanfront park, we returned for another night. The room is spacious, the beds are comfortable, the shower is excellent, there is plenty of space on the veranda to enjoy the view of the bay and the city. Basic but excellent breakfast, fast internet. And if you love cats and dogs, you will definitely like this place. It's not a problem at all that the house is far from the city center — public transport runs often and is cheap. I recommend this place with all my heart! That's what we needed to rest between hiking and moving between cities.

Located just 1.6 km from Arena Gruesa Beach, 13 Lunas Hostel features accommodation in Ancud with access to a garden, barbecue facilities, as well as luggage storage space. Lovely hostel with a warm and welcoming atmosphere. I loved the kitchen - big, homey, and filled with everything you need to cook. The staff wonderful - helpful, patient, and kind! The hostel arranged a penguin tour and kayaking tour for me - both a lot of fun. The hostel is located right across the street from Bus Sur Station so if you are planning to travel here by bus from Castro or Puerto Montt, take Bus Sur! It's alos located just a few blocks from the shore and from many restaurants, supermarket, and cafes.

Situated in Castro and only 2.8 km from Sabanilla Beach, Globertrotters features accommodation with sea views, free WiFi and free private parking. This is, without a doubt, the best hostel I’ve ever stayed at in my entire traveling history, and I’ve visited over 50 countries! The house itself is stunning, filled with beautiful artwork in every corner, creating a warm and creative atmosphere. Everything is impeccably clean, and the location is perfect for exploring. But what made my experience truly unique and unforgettable was the host, Miguel. He is, if not the best, one of the most wonderful people I’ve ever met in my life. Kind, hospitable, generous, kind-hearted, cheerful, and easygoing. I don’t have enough adjectives to describe how amazing he is! Thanks to him, I learned so much about Chilean traditions, especially those of Chiloé, as well as its gastronomy and history. If I ever return to Chile (and I definitely will!), I’ll make sure to come back to Castro just to see Miguel again. This place isn’t just a hostel; it’s a home away from home, thanks to the incredible host. 100% recommended!
