Our stay at Hotel Calamari Baru was so relaxing! We had one of the ocean view rooms, and it was perfect to relax. We loved hearing the sound of the waves as we slept. Christian helped us with our bags when we arrived later in the evening. The food and service at the restaurant were great and made our stay enjoyable. Breakfast was also included in the stay. The reception staff helped us book our boat trip back to Cartagena which was helpful! We would definitely recommend this hotel. It was one of the better looking accomodations on the strip.

Located in front of Barbacoa Beach this eco-lodge offers rooms with garden views and a private beach, within a 10-minute drive from Playa Blanca Beach. We had a wonderful stay at Playa Manglares! Its a very relaxed and quiet place where one can really destress from the world. The rooms are spacious with very comfortable big beds. The owner, Olga, is very friendly and helpful! The staff is also very friendly and cooks fantanstic food! Even some western dishes if you are missing them. They serve cocktails and will fry up your fish if you catch any ;) As other reviews have noted: no there is no hot water, but its not really that cold and its very hot there all year, thus the water temperature was not an issue for us. Water shoes are a plus, since theres rocks in the water. However I forgot mine and it was doable.

The place is beautiful and well kept up. The pool was refreshing, with comfortable loungers. Judith, the cook and housekeeper provided excellent service and delicious food and cocktails. We had the big room on the second floor with the spacious private deck and loungers.

Do not expect anything fancy it is not a hotel but a simple wooden cabana, ideal for taking a shower and sleep, you receive exactly what you pay for.

Super sweet place, it feels very private & is located at a more calm part of the beach what we liked. Warm welcoming by the hosts, they offer some tours & the food is delicious!

The location on the beach is great, it’s much calmer and the water is beautiful - also a great part for snorkelling. Carlos helped us with everything we needed and was generally really nice. Falling asleep to the sounds of the waves was just beautiful!

Boasting a splendid beachfront location inside Rosario Islands National Park, the hotel is a 1-hour boat trip from Cartagena. We had a great stay on the island, everything was perfect. Our room was really nice and clean. When we were there, the beach and pools were not overcrowded at all. All of the staff were super friendly and helpful. Two of us were vegetarians and the chef created us new delicious options everyday. The Spa services were high quality, good value for money, with a cute, tropical vibe. Overall we had an amazing experience.
