The Senda Watapuy is stunning. From the moment you walk up to the main building you’re greeted by an incredible view overlooking the pool towards the hills and lush forest. All the buildings and decor are beautiful and it really feels like a peaceful getaway, and still within walking distance of Tayrona Park. The restaurant and bar were also great. We had breakfast and dinner here every day and the food and drinks were delicious. We loved every bit of our stay.

Located five minutes away from Tayrona Park main entrance. Senda Koguiwa provides accommodation with a restaurant, free private parking and an outdoor swimming pool. The highlight for us was the Rio Piedras river, which looked pristine, clean and safe, so we all went in to swim in it. The reception area, restaurant and bungalows were also nicely done, presumably following the native construction from the area. Breakfast and dinner offered awesome choices and it was plenty and all delicious! Congrats to the cooks! Staff was friendly and accommodating throughout from check in, to the pool, restaurant, the bungalows, the check out.

Offering a terrace and views of the garden, Masaya Casas Viejas is set 30 minutes away from Minca in the Magdalena Region by 4x4 or motorcycle, and 12 mi from Santa Marta. Beautiful place! Food was very good. The staff were wonderful. The hike to the waterfall was super challenging and fun. The guide was amazing! Loved everything about the place.

Amazing hostel on the beach, Carolina was great and helped me enter the room at 1pm (Gabriela didn't allow me even though hostel was almost empty, but that's fine, you can leave your bags at reception and chill on the beach). Great wifi, delicious food at their restaurant, cool vibes. Lot of options to reserve, I stayed in dorm of 4 beds, good AC and both nights ended up alone in the room. Kind staff, very clean, good beach- almost no waves(explore on the right, over the rocks - there is a private beach for you). Will definitely come back!

Ubytovanie Zirwa Hotel Boutique - Dentro del Parque Tayrona sa nachádza v destinácii El Zaino 5 min. chôdze od miesta Pláž Playa Castilletes a 35 km od miesta Quinta de San Pedro Alejandrino. We arrived late afternoon which meant our room was ready straight away. The hotel were helpful in advance letting us of the park entrance ticket booth closing time which meant we arrived before closing time (5pm). The hotel is beautiful, the views are fantastic and the sky was clear both nights we were there which meant we could stargaze from our terrace. It was super quiet and peaceful. Right by one of the main entrances to the park, easy to find and very easy to start our hike into the park early in the morning. They have a pingpong table and board games in the dining room which were fun to play in the evenings too. We will be back!

Ubytovanie Hotel El Santuario sa nachádza v destinácii Minca 23 km od miesta Quinta de San Pedro Alejandrino. El Santuario was the perfect home base for exploring Minca! Nora and José Luis have obviously put a lot of love into their hotel- they were exceptionally kind and provided us with everything we needed during our stay. We split three rooms between 5 friends, which was totally comfortable for us. We started every morning taking in the stunning views while enjoying a delicious home cooked breakfast- the birdwatching is unparalleled to any place I’ve visited before! It’s a quick 10 minute drive to the center of Minca- we had a car, but the hotel will happily arrange a mototaxi for you, which I took advantage of as i chose to stay an extra night after my travel mates departed. We ended our evenings using the ample common areas to sip tequila and reflect on our adventures. The evenings were cool enough that we wouldn’t have used a/c even if it was available. Of course there are some bugs, but what else would you expect staying in a rustic town in the middle of the jungle?? Other reviewers noting this as a con are obviously unused to accommodations that strive to be as ecologically mindful as possible to their natural environments.
