I highly recommend this place as it is a great location for the Dresden and Bastei Bridge tour.

Housed in a historic building, the recently renovated Alte Bäckerei Königstein Aparthotel und Café provides accommodation with a garden and free WiFi. The place is very cosy, comfortable and freshly-renovated, at the very center of Königstein, with a view of the Königstein fortress. I chose it mainly because it was pet-friendly, and we traveled with our cat who turned out to be their first feline guest. The staff was really helpful, and accommodated all our requests, even helped me order a surprise birthday cake for my husband. Offering garden views, Ferienwohnung zum Sebnitzer Hirsch is an accommodation situated in Sebnitz, 22 km from Königstein Fortress and 36 km from Pillnitz Castle and Park. Excellent apartment, very clean and lots of spaces. The owners have carefully planned and had all the items that a family needs. I didn't meet anyone in person but the check-in and check out was smooth and we had lots of privacy. It was as if we were the only family living there. Parking is good, instructions from the owner are quite clear. My kids and family enjoyed the stay thoroughly. If we are here again we will not look at any other apartment.

Very clean with all you need for your vacation. Central located in Bad Schandau with easy access to Tram, busses and ferries which is free of charge with the "Gästkarte". Very friendly and helpfull host. We are coming back for sure!

Set in Rathen and with Königstein Fortress reachable within 10 km, Hinterland Hostel offers a garden, non-smoking rooms, free WiFi throughout the property and a bar. The hostel was spotless clean! I stayed at the 10 bed dorm which was on the attic floor. It was very hot outside but there was a stand fan in the room which helped a lot. The bed was soft and comfy with charging points behind the bed. The location is great. It is 15 mins by foot to the station from where there are regular trains to Dresden. Also 15 mins to the ferry which takes you across the river. You get a guest card where the cost of the ferry is included. The shared bathroom was also very clean. Overall an amazing stay!
