Do not miss a walking tour of the grounds, with the ponds, chapel, and memorial sites for members of the winemaking owner family. Great food as well as wine. Breathtaking views of the whole valley.

Set 48 km from Fernando Buesa Arena, El Retiro del Obispo in Laguardia offers rooms with air conditioning and free WiFi. The hosts, Terri and Robert, were fantastic. We asked for their advice on things to do and they set us up for a great 3 night stay with wineries and meals to die for. The newly renovated space has old world charm with all of the modern conveniences. I can’t imagine a better place to stay in Laguardia.

Everything was perfect! It is a 150+ years old building completely renovated with a clean and immpeccable style. The staff is amazing and makes you feel at home, breakfast is super tasty and fresh. The owner was there every day of our stay. She was soo friendly and shared some great gems about the region.

It was perfectly clean, the staff was so nice and accessible. We just loved it. I loved this small village, it's very cute. If you want to visit Bilbao or San Sebastian, it's not that close though. But it was worth it. They have a kitchen, you can cook there, and also use the fridge, the microwave, the toaster... Breakfast is included. Thank you so much!
