A recently renovated bed and breakfast in Lemland, Villa Valentina offers sun terrace, private parking and sports facilities. Instead of commercial hotel, I love this countryside cottage. Within close proximity, you can get access to a grocery market to buy the necessities. In addition, if you are driving, it is also near to the petrol pump.

These suites were excellent for us 4 sisters as there were 4 different beds and nobody had to share. Living room pull-out bed was not a sofa-bed but instead a comfortable full bed that could be folded away during the day. The kitchen included some necessities such as tea/coffee/sugar/salt and cleaning supplies. The area was very quiet with parking and we appreciated the chairs on the patio for when the sun was shining. Was a 10 minute walk into the shops/restaurants. The bathroom was lovely though we were a bit unsure about the value of the 'Japanese style' toilet. We were surprised that the suite was cleaned after the first day but it was still welcome. The place was easy to find by car from the ferry but would have also been within walking distance from the ferry. Only 8 minutes from the airport.

Cosy and comfortable place to stay in Aland, I will recommend. The hostess was friendly and welcoming. We enjoyed breakfast in gardenhouse, which was a nice start to the morning.

Offering a sun terrace and views of the garden, Björnhofvda Gård is set in Björnhuvud in the Åland Islands Region, 30 km from Mariehamn. Björnhofvda Gård is a really nice B&B with excellent facilities and very, very friendly staff. Breakfast was also nice with more than enough choice. Location cannot be beaten: very tranquil, rural environment. Would definitely not hesitate to return when the opportunity arises.

Had a great time! The cottage was small but clean and had everything you need, great host and beautiful views over the lake. There is an stone age fortress within a walking distance on top of a hill (It's basically a pile of stones, but I found it interesting and the views from the top were beautiful).
