Originally built in 1840, Spilman Hotel is a family-run hotel that offers free Wi-Fi and free private parking, right in the heart of the market town of Carmarthen. I will never forget my stay at this hotel. For the first time in my life I arrived at a hotel, recommended by a doctor by email to seek an urgent examination at a hospital. After five minutes at Spilman, I walked to the Carmarthen general hospital, arriving there at 16:40 on 12 June. I eventually returned to the hotel by taxi at 02:30 a.m the following morning. My room became a cosy home for the rest of my stay. The weather was disappointing, and my initial plans for sightseeing had to be modified, but because of the atmosphere at the Spilman, I will always retain happy memories of Carmarthen. My chances of returning to Wales are not high, but Spilman would be at the top of my priorities if I did.

Lovely, considerate host who welcomed us in person - something rare these days (!!) and helped us out with drier for clothes. Flat is really well equipped with all you need, there was a little welcome breakfast kit and lots of space. There´s also a patio for sunny days and it´s lovely and quiet. Loved it!

By far one of the nicest properties we have stayed at. The owners, Helen and Matthew were welcoming ,friendly and made sure we had everything we needed. The property has been lovely restored with attention given to making sure our stay was perfect. Many extras were provided including: treats for late night munchies, bottled water, milk for tea/coffee, luxury toiletries in case you forgot anything and large fluffy towels. The breakfast included lots of options : fresh fruit, cheese, meats and hot dishes. My avocado toast was overflowing with deliciousness . We only stayed one night but wish we could have stayed longer.

Room only Lovely owners , room was very agreeable as was the house. Bed was warm and comfortable . Tony & Chris were great hosts . Shared bathroom but no issues with that.
