Situated in Grasmere, 12 km from Windermere, Victorian House features parking is limited and offered on a first come and first served basis. The rooms come with a flat-screen TV. Great breakfast, comfy bed. Quiet even though we had the front room. Staff were friendly and helpful. Thoroughly enjoyed our 2 nights there.

The extensively-refurbished Bridge House Hotel is set in Grasmere, directly across from St Oswalds Church and the graveyard where William Wordsworth rests. Set in the village of Bowness, Latimer House Guest House offers 4-star accommodation with views of its surrounding gardens and of the village. The room was stunning, I couldn’t have asked for anything better and I had the best night sleep. The guest house is very safe and secure, which made me feel 10x more comfortable on my first solo trip. Barely a 5 minute walk down to the lakeside, with plenty bars and food places to choose from nearby

The family-run Ambleside Townhouse is situated in Ambleside, 800 metres from Lake Windermere. It offers en suite rooms and a full English breakfast in the morning. Location, our room was comfortable, shower wonderful. Great breakfast and staff friendly. We’ve been here before and will return again

The room was warm and welcoming. We booked 50 minutes earlier, the receptionist said, The room is ready now. Beautiful grounds to walk around. Felt like one of the elites staying there to be honest. The breakfast was really good and plenty of choice as we sat in this amazing place for our breakfast. Staff are all lovely people. The cleaners were friendly and smiley. Really impressed by the whole experience will visit again.
