With an 18-hole championship golf course, a 20-metre pool and a luxurious spa, Slieve Russell Hotel is set within 300 acres of grounds. This is a beautiful hotel in a beautiful location. The rooms were large and beautifully decorated. It had all the amenities you would expect in a high end hotel. The views out our room of the golf course were lovely. The included breakfast was a typical European buffet with all the variety you would expect. The hotel is not really near anything, so you are going there to enjoy that property. And there is much to enjoy. We wished we could have stayed there longer.

This 18th-century castle has a quiet location, looking out over huge grounds and beautiful countryside. It is now a 4-star hotel, mixing original character with modern luxury and free parking. Beautiful hotel and lovely staff. Clean and well maintained. Dinner was spectacular really enjoyed the atmosphere. Just walk and enjoy the architecture and nature! The facilities are just stunning, and the heating pool outside with the views of nature.. amazing.. The bedrooms are super clean, a very large room and I had the balcony with a view of the sheep grazing.. supeeer The food menus from the room service to the bar or even the breakfast was really good as well, good portions and not expensive

Offering a shared lounge and garden view, Lacken Millhouse and Gardens is located in Cavan, 12 km from Cavan Genealogy Centre and 21 km from Ballyhaise College. It was a lovely, peaceful place to stay, with a beautiful garden and environment. Helen went out of her way to make us feel welcome in her beautiful home. The breakfast was amazing. I would highly recommend staying here. We only stayed overnight but would have loved to stay longer.
