The location of Entei couldn’t be better—just a few steps from all three public onsens in the Dogo area, yet tucked away in a quiet corner that makes you feel like you’ve discovered a secret gem. But the real highlight is the villa itself. Everything was absolutely perfect. From the beautifully curated Japanese-style interiors to the artisanal artwork in every corner, every detail felt carefully chosen and deeply rooted in local culture. Even the toilet was a highlight—one of the latest high-tech models, adding a fun modern touch to the traditional setting. We were warmly welcomed with generous gifts, including a bottle of fresh mikan juice and delicious local snacks. The lady who handled our check-in was incredibly kind and made us feel at home right away. I genuinely loved every bit of this stay. Entei is not just accommodation—it’s an experience. A dream, really. I’ll be recommending it to everyone I know.

The place is absolutely new, everything is very clean and taken care of. The rooms were spacious and comfortable. The best was the staff: Taka and Kana run the business, and they are a super kind and generous couple, offering their guests all their best, including some free pick up/drop off. The place is very well located for the Shimanami Kaido Rd, or in general for island hopping. Also, it is right next to the ferry that goes to Okunoshima (Bunny Island), wonderful for a few hours of trip. There are some services (restaurant, convenience store, supermarket) around the area and in the hostel they also offer bikes to rent, cheaper than in other places. Wonderful experience to me!

Masashi-san and Mamiko-san made me feel at home. The property is a bit uphill, so you end up getting incredible views on Omishima island, and there's also a nice rock garden. Food options on the island are limited so I appreciated the lovely dinner after a long day's ride, and I also appreciate the vegen option offered 🙏🏻 all in all, would definitely recommend staying here! Thanks for a lovely stay

Koji is the most generous owner and genunely welcome to help. He picked us up from the port and even picked us up from another port in the night time (we survived from the most adventurous journey - thankful to Koji!). Talk about the place: the guesthouse is cozy and warm. The shared facilities included kitchen and washing machine. The price of ramen and washing pods are the same price in the convenience store and may be cheaper. E-bikes are also provided with the cheap rate (1000 yen/day).
