Kusatsu Onsen Eidaya is located in Kusatsu. The property is a 10-minute walk from Kusatsu Yubatake and Kusatsu-Onsen Bus Terminal. Staffs are nice and friendly; no problem with English communication. Our room was good with a private onsen in the room. In addition, this hotel has three private onsens (free use) 24 hrs. Free tea and coffee. 10 mins walking distance from the main bus station. This hotel has a shuttle bus, between the bus station and the hotel.

47 km from Jigokudani Monkey Park, BUNA KUSATSU Onsen Inn is a recently renovated property set in Kusatsu and offers air-conditioned rooms with free WiFi and private parking. I loved my stay at Buna Kusatsu. The facility is well curated in every detail and it was great value for money. But what I loved the most was our host: she went above and beyond to help us with all our questions and was extremely supportive when on the checkout morning I was feeling unwell.

Beautiful lodge in a beautiful area in Japan. The owner was so accommodating and made our stay extra special. He gave great recommendations for restaurants, day trips as well as the coolest onsen. This place is a gem out of the touristy areas and we will definitely return. Good breakfast and great coffee that can be enjoyed in a very spacious common area downstairs. Facilities are great and very clean.

Set in Minakami, 33 km from Gala Yuzawa Snow Resort, Minakami Onsen Aratashi Minakami offers accommodation with a terrace, free private parking and a restaurant. Hotel staff is friendly and really made us feel at home with their personalised service. We love the Kaiseki dinner, their sets breakfast, and their rooms are equipped with private onsen and it is Modernised and exceptionally clean. Their public onsen is spacious, clean and fully equipped.

Set in Kusatsu, 47 km from Jigokudani Monkey Park, La Vista Kusatsu Hills offers accommodation with a garden, free private parking, a shared lounge and a terrace. The location to the city center and attractions. Also the open air bath was amazing with the snowfall.

Located within 35 km of Kumagaya Rugby Stadium and 48 km of Ishidan-gai Steps in Kiryu, Okiya Guest House & Tapas Bar offers accommodation with seating area. Okiya is a warm and welcoming ryokan ran by a lovely couple that treated me like their own. Feel free to ask any requests from them, including ebike rentals and tours. Do be sure to let them know in advance so they can plan and prepare. Kiryu is a wonderful place full of history, and this former geisha house fits right in. Aside from touring the city, an evening spent getting to know both the hosts and the house can be an attraction too!

Located in Kusatsu in the Gunma region, Oyado Yukizumi provides accommodation with free WiFi and free private parking, as well as access to a hot spring bath. I loved the hot bath that was provided. The space was intimate and perfect for one/two people. The heater option was great after a long day in the cold.

Boasting garden views, Ryutakuzenji 宿坊 offers accommodation with balcony, around 28 km from Usui Pass Railway Heritage Park. This property offers access to a terrace and free private parking. That was a very peaceful and enjoyable stay. We were warmly welcomed; the traditional room was huge and very clean, and the dinner was amazing. They also offer excellent vegetarian options for both dinner and breakfast. Futon beds were comfy. We woke up early to meditate at the temple, and we were given explanations about the temple’s history, as well as a guided visit. It was one of our best stays in Japan, and we couldn’t recommend it enough :)

Really lovely place, rooms have plenty of space, neutral decor, great use of the square meters and giant windows to enjoy nature at your doorstep. Hotel facilities are easy to access, clean and have all amenities you might need. Staff is extremely helpful and their English level is great, which makes a big difference when asking for recommendations or suggestions or quite simply have a conversation upon arrival. Also made use of the massage service in the room, very professional and great massage overall. The system is set up easily so you can enjoy this in your privacy and comfort.

Situated in Shibukawa in the Gunma region, with Ishidan-gai Steps and Ikaho Ropeway nearby, Chigira Jinsentei features accommodation with free private parking, as well as access to a hot spring bath. This Ryokan is phenomenal. - Breakfast and dinner, exceptional. Probably the greatest thing we like about the Ryokan. - The room, it was amazing, clean and tidy - We only used the private onsen (which is first come first serve basis, no booking required), temperature is just right with great view once you opened the window.
