1.2 km from Setta Beach, guesthouse minkä is a recently renovated property set in Amami and offers air-conditioned rooms with free WiFi and private parking. Great and lovely guesthouse! Very comfy and clean.

Situated in Tarumizu, within 31 km of Kushira Heiwa Arena and 39 km of Ogawa-no-Taki Waterfall, Fairfield by Marriott Kagoshima Sakurajima features accommodation with a shared lounge and free WiFi... The rooms were spacious and very clean! The staff was very friendly and went above and beyond to help me. I wish we could have stayed longer.

Very peaceful surroundings with a foot bath right out side our room. A very clean, spacious and traditional Japanese style room. The futons were nice and thick, making for a very comfortable sleep. Our host was very friendly and gave us a great recommendation for dinner.

Situated in Amami, 500 metres from Yanigawa Shopping Street, Hotel Sundays Amami features air-conditioned accommodation and a restaurant. It’s pretty with sea view in my room. Space is clean and comfortable with public bath and free laundry room. Excellent hotel to me!

Located in Amami, 800 metres from Higashi Beach, みーまん奄美 provides accommodation with a shared lounge, free private parking and a bar. The property itself was amazing! There is a lovely common space where you can cook and hang out! The beach right down the street is beautiful and empty and you can rent so many different water activities! Only thing: restaurants around the place are often closed or far away, you can take the bus there (which is going every half an hour until ~19:00) or make sure you have at least something you can eat ready at the hostel so in case you don't find something you are settled. There is a convenience store right next to the hostel.

Situated in Yakushima and only 700 metres from Isso Beach, 屋久杉楼 七福 features accommodation with mountain views, free WiFi and free private parking. It was cozy and the rooms were spacious. The full sized fridge was great!

Set in Amami, 2 km from Asani Beach, Kami House offers accommodation with a garden, free private parking and a shared lounge. I had a wonderful stay at this guesthouse, warmly welcomed by the amazing hosts. The price–quality ratio is honestly one of the best I’ve ever experienced. The breakfast was absolutely delicious, and on my last day, Kami even prepared some homemade onigiri for me to take for lunch, they were so tasty and such a thoughtful gesture. I truly felt cared for throughout my stay. This was the best place I stayed at in Japan, and when I return to Amami, I will definitely come back here.
