The location had a lot of beautiful spots around it and sitting down with Take-San in the evening while trying out all types of Amami Shochu was a lot of fun.

I Tarumizu, bare 31 kilometer fra Kushira Heiwa arena og 39 kilometer fra Ogawa-no-taki (foss) ligger Fairfield by Marriott Kagoshima Sakurajima. The rooms were spacious and very clean! The staff was very friendly and went above and beyond to help me. I wish we could have stayed longer.

I Kirishima, 40 kilometer fra Kagoshima Chuo stasjon og 41 kilometer fra Kagoshima stasjon, ligger Live here like local Japanese do. Great place to stay! Spacious, comfortable and with good location close to the airport or train station.

Hotel Sundays Amami ligger i Amami, 5 minutters gange fra Yanigawa Shopping Street, og har boenheter med klimaanlegg, i tillegg til en restaurant. Amazing breakfast buffet (centered on local and traditional food). Completely free laundry. Very convenient location near the sea and city center. Very corteous employees. Dinner was not expensive and very tasty.

There is a lovely common space where you can cook and hang out! The beach right down the street is beautiful and empty and you can rent so many different water activities! Only thing: restaurants around the place are often closed or far away, you can take the bus there (which is going every half an hour until ~19:00) or make sure you have at least something you can eat ready at the hostel so in case you don't find something you are settled. There is a convenience store right next to the hostel.

I Yakushima, bare 7 minutters gange fra Isso-stranden og 20 kilometer fra Shiratani Unsuikyō ligger 屋久杉楼 七福. It was wonderful the Hostelmom is Amazing wonderfull i stayed longer than planned it is an traditional Japanes experience

I Amami, 2 kilometer fra Asani-stranden, ligger Kami House, som har en hage, gratis privat parkering og en fellesstue. I had a wonderful stay at this guesthouse, warmly welcomed by the amazing hosts. The price–quality ratio is honestly one of the best I’ve ever experienced. The breakfast was absolutely delicious, and on my last day, Kami even prepared some homemade onigiri for me to take for lunch, they were so tasty and such a thoughtful gesture. I truly felt cared for throughout my stay. This was the best place I stayed at in Japan, and when I return to Amami, I will definitely come back here.
