In total I Stayed 6 weeks with Emi and Soku and I had an amazing stay. (One month and later I came back for 2 weeks) The rooms are big enough, it's possible to slide your suitcase under the bed and there are hooks to hang stuff. They are basically ready for any situation. Bigger groups and single guests. And if you are lucky you might end up alone in a clean room, in a comfy normal single or double bed for the price of a dorm! There is a clean kitchen area with 2 stoves, rice cooker, microwave and a small oven and enough pans, plates ect, to make nice dinners. All the rooms are provided with airconditioning and heater if needed. Next to that you are able to rent bicyles, surkskates and surfboards. Also Soku provides skate and surflessons. And the best are Emi en Soku themselves, they are so helpful alsways try to think from the perspective of the guests. In one word, like I said before, just amazing. If you are in this area I would definitly suggest to stay at this place. The location is a bit remote. Busses and trains just ride at certain times. It just needs some planning to get here. Also you can just contact Emi and Soku if you need some help with that. Supermarkets are a bit far. The closest konbini is 10 minutes by bike. But again Emi and Soku can give you a ride to the Supermarket sometimes and with planning your food a bit it's not a problem at all So it's not all around the corner, but instead you get a nice quiet experience in Aoshima, one of Japan's paradises.

Die Unterkunft Guesthouse EL CAMPO, die in Gokase, 47 km von Vulkan Aso entfernt gelegen ist, verfügt über Übernachtungsmöglichkeiten mit einer Bar und einem kostenlosen Privatparkplatz. Accomodation was a beautiful log cabin in the Miyazaki countryside! The facilities were clean and modern, and the bed was so comfortable!! There were so many thoughtful touches, like having spare pairs of crocs outside the cabin, having salt and cooking oil in the kitchen, having tea and coffee sachets. You can also park directly in front of your cabin which is very convenient. We reserved the course dinner offered by the host and it was delicious!! The host was also the chef (and the bartender) and we had a great time chatting to him in English and Japanese about the locally sourced ingredients and his very well-stocked bar. Thanks for such a lovely night Keita!! Next time we will need to stay even longer, so we can use the fireplace and enjoy more of the peaceful countryside. We had a wonderful stay, highly recommend El Campo.

Super kuschelig und trotzdem modern. Wir waren total begeistert von dem nahegelegenen Fluss, der uns wegen der Hitze während unserem Aufenthalt empfohlen wurde - eine super schöne Abkühlung! Danach konnte ich draußen auf der Hängematte und dann drinnen am großen Fenster ganz toll mein Buch lesen. Alle waren total herzlich und wir haben uns super wohlgefühlt.

Die Unterkunft Guesthouse ＆ Beach Cafe Fuego, die in Hyuga, 24 km von Totoro-kō entfernt gelegen ist, verfügt über Übernachtungsmöglichkeiten mit einem Garten, einem kostenlosen Privatparkplatz, einer... Unglaublich herzliche und hilfsbereite tolle Gastgeber! Die Lage direkt am Meer ist großartig. Eine wirklich tolle Unterkunft, um die Küste zu erkunden.

Amazing view of the ocean Very clean and well-equipped kitchen Love it! Great for anyone who is exploring Nichinan area. You do need a car.

Dieses Ryokan wurde im April 2014 nach einer gründlichen Renovierung eröffnet und bietet geräumige Zimmer umgeben von ruhigen Bergen. The food was excellent and the staff were attentive and helpful. We had rented a car and in the morning we found that the staff had placed a cover over the wind screen to prevent frost from forming. We were impressed by their attention to detail.

This was our favorite place in Kyushu. It is small and the attention to every detail is exceptional. The decor from the wallpapers to the tiles, and from the design of the onsen to the gardens are impeccable. The meals were also excellent. The hospitality of the staff, in particular Kumi-San and Megumi-San, was also a highlight.

Lovely little home in Mimitsu, well stocked and super comfortable. We used the hot tub which was great. The bed was so comfortable, we had a great sleep. The place is decorated very well, it's really homely but also modern.
