We can highly recommend Matsushima Koumura. We stayed 4 nights and were very satisfied with everything. The owners were very nice and welcoming, the house is beautifully decorated and the little onsen perfect. The breakfast we had was very good and tea and coffee free. Everything was also very clean. The location is quiet, yet very close to all the sights in Matsushima.

From planning out for us a day in the Hakkoda Mountains, sending us our itinerary and all travel details to to picking us up and dropping us off at the train station when needed.
