We had a wonderful stay here. The property is located on beautiful temple grounds, which you can visit. The rooms have been completely renovated and feel modern and peaceful while still retaining its Japanese charm. Our room even had a stunning bathtub, and the beds were incredibly cozy/ comfy. I slept like a baby. We were welcomed with tea, coffee, and a sweet, which was such a thoughtful touch and very yummy. Even though the bathroom was shared, it was spotless and very well maintained. Amenities were also great. The manager was very helpful and even called ahead to help arrange dinner for us, which was great as we cant speak Japanese. She also spoke perfectly in English! I recommend the yakitori restaurant - it was fantastic. The owners so sweet:) Overall, a unique and relaxing stay ..highly recommend. We would return when in the area again! Thank you so much

Guesthouse Iwase is set in Toyama, 2.2 km from Toyama-kō and 14 km from Toyama Family Park. It’s not too far from Toyama station, the host gave me two complimentary tickets for the tram, he was so kind and helpful, his service was outstanding, I highly recommend this property as it looks really Japanese style for a small price.

The owners were amazing. Nice, responsive, explained us everything, answered every question, before and during the stay. we really felt welcomed there. The house has a lot of atmosphere and everything is thought out there. We would stay longer if we could! The owner gave us a ride to and from the bus stop, which we appreciated a lot.
