Set in Batticaloa, 6.4 km from Batticaloa Railway Station, Inpan's beach resort Batticaloa offers accommodation with a garden, free private parking, a private beach area and a terrace. We are very grateful to the staff, the manager and Inban for our stay at this place. They took care of us very carefully and politely. We were stranded and came here from our country due to this disaster. A Sri Lankan man helped us immediately when we arrived in Batticaloa. He welcomed us there and we stayed with him for two days. They took care of everything for us. We struggled a lot and all our clothes were dirty. They themselves volunteered to wash and dry them and give them to us. I had a small wound on my leg. The owner Inban bandaged the wound very neatly and fixed it for me. It was very painful. I had been in pain for two days because of the wound but after the medicine he bandaged it, I felt no pain. It was very good. I will always be grateful to him. The staff are very friendly and I really like this place. We recommend this place to others. Since we were affected by the disaster, they gave us some benefits completely free of charge. They gave us breakfast and lunch for free. They gave us their home-cooked meals. It was very nice. I would like to visit them again. My friend in Sri Lanka made a reservation for us. Our phones were not working. We lost our phones at the place we went. It was buried in the ground. So he booked us and let us stay here. Thank you very much to the driver who brought us here.

The Dream Inn Guesthouse Passikudah has garden views, free WiFi and free private parking, set in Batticaloa, 300 metres from Pasikuda Beach. It was very spacious, tidy and new. It also had a modern bathroom and shower. The yard was well landscaped and tranquil. The breakfast was also delicious and plentiful. The host was very welcoming and accommodating.

Set within 100 metres of Pasikuda Beach and 700 metres of Sri Muththu Mariyamman Kovil, Blue Sands Beach Resort features rooms with air conditioning and a private bathroom in Pasikuda. The owner and the workers are really nice and helpful and the hotel is located few minutes walking from Kalkudah beach. You can also easily reach Passikudah beach by foot. I highly recommend staying here!

Facing the beachfront, Karpaha Sands offers 5-star accommodation in Pasikuda and features free bikes, outdoor swimming pool and garden. This hotel had everything we needed for a week of total relaxation. The hotel is quite remote, which actually made it easier for us to take full advantage of everything it had to offer. We were so kindly upgraded to the Seed suite which was perfect as we were traveling with young children. The tent was unbelievable. Comfortable and luxurious. The massages are amazing too. The food though, out of this world. I made sure to try something different every day. So fresh! The staff were unbelievably friendly. From Umberto the manager who was a fabulous host, to Jude and the barman who were so kind to our kids. Jude even rode into town to get our 1 year a little dolly to play with. The barman (sorry we forgot his name 😬) spoilt our kids with ice creams and also my husband and I the most unreal cocktails (especially the Icy J&R). We also used the transport which the hotel can provide and it was very comfortable, even for a long drive. I could go on about how amazing this place is, but I think we’ll just have to go back again!

Situated in Kalkudah, Sun Siyam Pasikudah offers peaceful and comfortable accommodation with free WiFi access. How lovely to stay in this beautiful resort. The beautiful and spacious room stylish interior. The swimming pool and very comfortable canapés. All the management and staff members are so incredibly nice and welcoming. Everything was perfect. Thank you Karthik, Sashita and Chamod, but also all the other members of course sorry we don’t know all the names. We hope we will be able to come back one day.

The eco-friendly Maalu Maalu Resort & Spa - Thema Collection sits on the sandy shores of Passekudah Bay on the east coast of Sri Lanka. The hotel welcomes all new guests with flower necklaces and cool fruit drinks. The breakfast buffet options are numerous. We ordered a la carte lunch & dinner, and the food was always exceptional. (Note, the first night we wanted something that they didn’t have but they ordered it for the second night.) The room was ok, but all rooms come with a comfortable balcony to make up for what the room lacks. Also, the bathroom is about the same size as the room. The beach and the ocean are by far the main reason to come here. The warm ocean water is unparalleled and the hotel staff do a wonderful job keeping their section of the beach clean. The pool area is also nice, but we came for the beach and spent most of our time there. The kid space is lacking, but that’s ok as long as you aren’t there when it rains. Lastly, all the staff we encountered were professional. They helped arrange our departure taxi which actually was rather reasonably priced; meaning same price everyone seems to charge tourists 200 rupees per kilometer (rather than what locals pay which is like 120-150). Overall, I highly recommend staying here.

La propietària és meravellosa, una gran amfitriona i cuina molt bé! A més, estàs davant del mar, en un lloc tranquil i el seu jardí és molt bonic. La nostra habitació era àmplia i còmoda i molt gran. L’esmorzar ha estat boníssim, i el sopar també! El tracte ha estat immillorable: amable, atent i proper. Et dona consells i t'ajuda i parla molt bé l'anglés i té un conversa molt agradable. Ha estat pendent del nostre comforr en tot moment. L'aire acondicionat funciona de meravella. Un lloc tranquil per gaudir de la platja i sentir-se com a casa!

Located in Batticaloa, 70 metres from Kalkudah Beach, Kalkudah Beach House provides accommodation with an outdoor swimming pool, free private parking, a garden and a shared lounge. We were quite concerned on the way there because the trip was through some interesting but desolate terrain. What a great surprise. The property is beautiful and the staff and service were superb. The food was good too.

Situated in Kalkudah, within 500 metres of Kalkudah Beach and 400 metres of Sri Muththu Mariyamman Kovil, Bay Walk by AHSRAM features accommodation with a garden as well as free private parking for... This place is twice as nice as the Ubay Homestay I stayed at in Trincomalee for which I paid much more - $30 per night. What's better about it, besides the lower price, is: More spacious, more modern room Fewer bugs (really hardly any) Larger, less smelly bathroom Much quieter setting. Instead of being in the middle of a bunch of other places, including a loud hostel next door, as Ubay was, this place is in a wide open, peaceful setting, the only close neighbor a church. Better breakfast at the same price - 1300 Free, filtered water A larger staff, very attentive, but unobtrusive, only there when you need them The two beaches nearby are quieter and less crowded Much thanks to Usha, the owner's wife, who speaks excellent English. She welcomed me graciously with fresh coconut water and gave me another one when I left.
