The hotel is amazing, it’s located inside a shopping mall with lots of offers for food and drinks. The room is very spacious, clean and modern. I also recommend their buffet breakfast, it was delicious althought a little bit pricey. Staff was super kind and friendly, great customer service. Hotel offers a shuttle service from and to the airport, and when there’s no car available they will arrange a taxi for you for free.

Das Hotel Catedral genießt eine ideale Lage im historischen Zentrum von Mexiko-Stadt. Frühstück ist ein erstklassiges Büffet! Die Lage ist direkt im Zentrum, Zocalo und Palacio Nacional sind um die Ecke. Abfahrplätze für Stadtrundfahrten und Ausflüge sind ebenfalls in der Nähe. Das Personal ist hilfsbereit. Sicherheit ist im Zentrum kein Problem. Auf dem Zocalo sind fast täglich große Veranstaltungen. Ich habe hintenraus gewohnt und da war es immer ruhig. Insgesamt hat das Hotel meine Erwartungen übertroffen. Sehr gutes Preis-/Leistungsverhältnis.

The rooms here are a standout feature: they are large, spacious, and impeccably well-maintained and clean. After long days of travel, it was a real pleasure to return to such a comfortable and quiet space. The staff across all departments were consistently friendly and helpful, setting a wonderful tone for the stay. The complimentary breakfast offers a great variety of hot food, including scrambled eggs and many other delicious options, ensuring a filling start to the day. (My only minor suggestion would be to add croissants to the pastry selection, but the quality of the hot breakfast easily makes up for it!) The Incident that Earned the 5 Stars The true test of this hotel’s commitment came when I made a major mistake: I left my mobile phone behind in their airport transfer van. I called immediately, and the front desk staff went above and beyond. They instantly contacted the driver to check, confirming the phone was found and secured. When I informed them I was already on my way back to the hotel, they ensured the phone was brought to the front desk and safely handed back to me as soon as I arrived. This level of honesty, quick action, and integrity is exactly what gives a traveler complete peace of mind. I highly recommend the Holiday Inn Express Mexico Basilica. This team truly embodies the spirit of customer service! Only the negative is, expect a huge traffic from Airport/ city center to this hotel eventhough the hotel is nearby to airport and city center.

As soon as you arrive to the hotel you are greeted by the bellman, who are dressed in an antique uniform. Wonderfull staff, accurate information with our rooms and reservations. They inmediately invite you to the lounge that has an Amazing view of the Zocalo. The main focus is the architecture of the hotel, that beautiful vitral is the main character of the space. Loved it all!!!!
