The accommodation was simply stunning – I have never come across such a beautiful house or cottage in my life. Our stay was wonderful, and we felt truly happy there. The hosts were perfect: attentive, always smiling, and very kind. They took excellent care of us – the breakfasts were exceptional, the kind I wish I could have every day. After coming back from trips, we were even welcomed with a fresh juice or a mocktail. The surroundings were enchanting – a peaceful and charming Dutch countryside setting, yet just a short distance from big cities like Amsterdam and Almere. The location was perfectly accessible, and it was impossible to get lost. A real highlight for me was the beautiful horse named Zorba, who made the place feel even more special – I was absolutely delighted with him. The whole stay left me with unforgettable memories. I felt as if I were in a movie or on holiday abroad, and I can honestly say I have never stayed anywhere more beautiful.

Boutique hotel Villa Trompenberg is a fully self-service hotel situated in a park-like area in Hilversum, 1.5 km from the centre. Villa Trompenberg offers free Wi-Fi and free parking. The Hotel Villa Trompenberg is beautifully furnished with stylish details that were a was a feast for the eyes! I liked the 'serve yourself' approach with the honesty box. It was nice to grab a little bottle of red wine at the end of the day. The continental style breakfast was lovely and I appreciated the cooked eggs! Excellent coffee and fruit juices. This was my first time in the Netherlands and therefore I had not been to Hilversum before. I relied on taxis to take me to my son's house in South Hilversum and to the train station, but I'm sure in the spring or summer I could have walked or cycled across town. The location is in a beautiful area close to a large forest/park area which I hope to explore when I come back in the summer.
