Located just 3.9 km from Estadio Ciudad de Cumaná, Casa Samaykuy provides accommodation in Ayacucho with access to free bikes, a garden, as well as a shared kitchen. Throughout my journey in Peru I didn't find many (more close to none) places like this. For me it was like finding a gem. I was able to relax and gain the energy for upcoming travels here and that also thanks to nice and very kind personnel. Some people are complaining about the dog Benji, but when I was there, it was way calmer then it usually is in Peru. And the price vs. quality ratio is very good. If the wind will blow me to these parts of the Peru again, I'll know where to go feel good and welcomed.

And the owner was very kind and let us hang out and cook dinner after we'd checked out.

Guidebooks and previous comments about this property are out-of-date...the hotel has obviously been engaged in a major upgrade of the guest rooms elevating them to a superior, modern condition. Ayacucho is a beautiful colonial city that will inevitably be featured as an undiscovered gem for tourists.
