Babalao Bungalows has an outdoor swimming pool, garden, a shared lounge and terrace in Nungwi. If perfection exists, this hotel comes very close to it. What struck us the most wasn't just the quality of the facilities, but the soul of the place. From the very first 'hello' at reception, we felt like family rather than just guests in a room number. The atmosphere is so welcoming that we literally felt at home. Here are the highlights of this flawless experience: • The Staff: Their kindness isn't something you can train; it’s genuine. They were always ready to help with a smile and gave us valuable tips. We felt truly pampered. • The Food: Prepare to gain a few pounds because it's impossible to resist! The quality is divine, and the breakfast is to die for, with incredibly fresh products. • Location: The perfect combination. We were close to everything worth visiting, yet the hotel itself feels like an oasis of tranquility. • Comfort: The room was spotless, and the beds are like sleeping on clouds. It was one of those stays that we missed the moment we handed back the key card. I won't say goodbye, just 'see you soon,' because we will definitely be back!

I stayed at Hostel 197 in Zanzibar, and it was genuinely one of the best hostels I’ve ever been to. The staff were incredibly friendly, and I was welcomed with a complimentary drink as soon as I arrived. Every afternoon there were beach volleyball games, which made it super easy to meet other travelers and have fun. The breakfasts were absolutely delicious – fresh juice, good coffee, and plenty of great food to start the day. Throughout the day, you could always grab cold water from the bar, which was perfect in the Zanzibar heat. The dorm beds were amazing: spacious, comfortable, and made fresh every single day. The bar served fantastic cocktails in the evenings, and the location couldn’t have been better – just a 5-minute walk to the beach. Overall, Hostel 197 exceeded all my expectations. I can highly recommend it to anyone visiting Zanzibar!

Everything was perfect from start to finish. The staff were incredibly welcoming, friendly, and always ready to help with a smile. The room was clean, comfortable, and well maintained, which made the stay very relaxing. The atmosphere of the hotel is calm and pleasant, and you can really feel the attention to detail in every part of the place. Overall, it exceeded my expectations in every way. I would definitely recommend Kai Hotel to anyone looking for a comfortable and enjoyable stay, and I would happily come back again.

Absolutely wonderful! The hotel is located in front of the beach where you can enjoy the amazing sandbank when the tide is low. While the beach is public the access is very difficult so it id like having your own private beach. The views from the hotel are spectacular. The room are spacious, comfortable and very clean and it has a pool. The staff is amazing, very nice and attentive, from the manager Peter to all the staff at the restaurant and reception, everyone made us feel welcome and at home.

Situated in Nungwi and with Nungwi Beach reachable within a few steps, Dhow Beach Boutique Hotel features a garden, non-smoking rooms, free WiFi throughout the property and a private beach area. The resort is located right next to Nungwi beach and has a big nice restaurant on the sea terrace. When it's high tide you are dining right above the sea and it is very peaceful and joyful. Here is a short summary of what we liked during our stay: - Welcome. The Turkish manager (or the owner maybe) did a very warm welcome: we had a pleasant small talk, he told us about nearby places and recommendations. He also texted a brief local guide with recommendations and prices. This saved us some money in the markets and water taxi. Overall, this welcome cheered us up after a long trip and set the great tune for the rest of the stay. - Staff. All the staff members were very friendly and helpful: starting from the cleaning crew and the restaurant staff, up to reception, security and the management. I've seen the restaurant crew being very tired in the end of the day. Yet, they always remain cheerful and helpful which shows just how hard they work. They don't ask for it, but I foster everybody leaving good tips during the stay, or in the end of it. Kudos to everybody! - Meals and Drinks. The chef is very good and all the meals were well-balanced and delicious. Can say the same for the drinks. We stayed in different places and different resorts and in other places we might have wanted to have more variety in the menu, or for the portions to be bigger or for the meals to be tastier. But in this resort we never had such thoughts. On our last day we were dining on the terrace. Since we were checking out very early in the morning, we knew that we needed to do the end payment for the restaurant bills. So the manager/owner approached us. But it wasn't about the payment, he was going home at that time and just wanted to shake our hands, to thank us for the stay and to wish us good luck. So the stay was perfect from the beginning to the very end and we wish we could stay there longer but our trip was ending.
