There are good food options near by and bar next door. There is no shoes policy which keeps the place clean, but also gives you natural, comfortable and cozy feeling. It is decorated tastefully, with a lot of natural material, beautiful forest view, and sea breeze. Have in mind if you are coming from Europe or elsewhere the 110V plugs, the place has just enough infrastructure to feel comfortable, but be mindful it’s in nature. Setting is beautiful with river and the ocean, and staff was really helpful about where to eat, helping us arrange the transport from the airport, and we were pretty demanding guests. Also there have 3 adorable kitties in the house.

Paulo and Brunela truly made my stay unforgettable. From helping me arrive at the property to giving excellent advice for planning treks in Tayrona and exploring the surroundings, their support was invaluable. But what really stood out was their kindness and constant good humor, which felt otherworldly. Their cooking is also fantastic! The hotel is exactly as shown in the pictures, and the rooms are fully functional. The cold-water shower wasn’t an issue at all—on the contrary, it was refreshing given the heat. I’ll definitely be coming back to spend more time with this loving couple, whose warmth and care make every moment special. Special mention to patacón (cat), who is as lovely as crazy !

A standout stay on our vacation in Colombia – one of the top, if not the top, hotel of our trip. Hotel Senderos Del Mar has an incredible and attentive staff, they noticed and remembered small dietary habits to continue to make our time exceed all expectations of a hotel stay. The rooms were extremely spacious and clean. The food was outstanding, great portions and flavors for the price. The hotel is out of the normal path for travelers, so it was quiet and intimate, while being extremely accessible by bus to other beaches and Parque Tayrona.

The hostel manager Victor was extremely helpful; he gave us advice numerous times about trips, tours, booked us a taxi, arranged packed lunches for when we wanted a day in Tayrona Park, etc. Nothing seemed like an inconvenience to him. He also allowed us to check in 90 mins early. Hostel was clean, rooms were a good size, had a lovely pool area (again good size) and was good value for money. Was 1km walk to the park which was helpful and had a handful of nice restaurants and cafes nearby (on the main road just outside). Would 100% use again and recommend to friends and family.

We stayed at Cayena by Masaya after visiting Tayrona Park, and it was exactly what we needed to relax and unwind. The staff were all incredibly friendly and professional, from the reception to the restaurant team. The hotel has only a few rooms, which made it feel peaceful and never crowded—we always found a great spot to lounge by the beautiful, large pool (perfect for a proper swim). There’s also a covered area with yoga equipment, and we loved starting the day with a beach-front workout. Our room was spacious and comfortable, with a super comfy bed, working AC, hot water, and complimentary refillable drinking water. The restaurant was a highlight—breakfast, lunch, and dinner were all delicious, and the à la carte prices were very reasonable, so we were happy to eat at the hotel. There are beds on the beach, but we mostly stayed by the pool since the ocean had big waves and a small sandy area during our visit (great for surfers, though). Overall, we had a perfect stay and would absolutely recommend Cayena for anyone looking to unwind in a beautiful, relaxing setting.
